I've got a big old nothing going on except for Saturday night when we're having friends over. I still haven't decided what I'm cooking for them but it will probably involve pasta and a baking dish. Casseroles are too easy.
Tonight, I THINK I'm doing wings and "drinks" (well, for everyone else) with some of my female coworkers. Tomorrow, nothing. I have to take down the tree at some point. Boooooo! Sunday, I have a ministry head meeting for the retreats I do. But it's at 3:30 and should only last like an hour, so I'll have the rest of the day.

I'm hoping to rid myself of the plague that Petite Fleur shared with me. And while I SHOULD straighten up, I really want to veg and craft while I'm not doing carry over with the kiddo.
Have fun, ps! It's tiring, but purging/organizing a house is one of the most satisfying things to do. I'll probably do that with my bookshelf this weekend.
I'm going to drag my ass outside and start running again. I haven't done it since just before Thanksgiving and all my nice muscle tone is going away. Plus I miss it.
I'm doing my first duathlon in the morning!! I'm SCARED. And Sunday we are going to Marine World (animal shows and roller coasters). Our weekends are not usually this eventful.

Hope you feel better, Dixie.
I do enjoy purging! I do it fairly often, but even after a few micro purges of the kids toys and my books, everything still feels cluttered. Time to get the big guns out.
I think I might have the start of the flu...congested and a sore throat. Depending on how that all goes down, my plans are tentative.
Take down the tree and go through my DS's senior pictures with my mom so she can pick out what she wants. At some point I will need to buy frames and hang them up. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not good at arranging stuff on walls.
We have to take down the tree too. Boo. And organize and wash the two massive garbage bags of baby clothes my sister gave me last week. A doesn't need another stitch of clothing until she's two.
I need to find and organize my clothes too. I have no idea what I'm going to wear back to work.
I am excited if the weather holds, H and I are flying up to visit his parents. H just got his pilots license on the 30th and I am excited to fly with him. So far we've just flown over my parents house and area.
I also hope to play a game called Cards against Humanity. It's like apples to apples but with grown up words. cardsagainsthumanity.com/ They have a free version you can make at home. It's hysterical if you have a warped sense of humor.
Not much of anything, I hope. We're all still carrying around a cold strain from hell.
DS got it on 12/18-ish and his nose is still running like a faucet. H got it a few days after DS and he's still all post-nasal drip-y. I got it on Christmas eve and I'm still blowing my nose like 20 times a day plus have the gross post nasal drip. This thing sucks.
We even threw the tree outside and aired the house out the day after Christmas, thinking that maybe we're allergic to the tree. Obviously that didn't work.
Morty - I hope you're not getting this thing. All three of us started with a sore throat and nasal congestion. One of H's friends has it going through his house and they've been going for 6 weeks straight (2 adults and 3 kids in the house).
It's a well-known fact amongst friends and families that the taking down of the tree is an annual sore spot in the imoan household. Many years, it's ended in screaming and broken ornaments (all me). However, last year we managed to avoid a fight and everyone was impressed. And it's especially funny because we rarely fight.
It all stems from the fact that I'm bummed that the tree has to come down and H is all freaked out that we wont get the tree out in time for the town's curbside pick up. And then I procrastinate about taking it down. And then he has these abitrary deadlines in his head that are, say, "have the tree down by 1pm on Sunday". He doesn't tell me so then he gets home and the tree is still up and is all "I thought we were taking the tree down". And then I'm pissed because if you tell me "we need the tree down by Sunday", I think I have til midnight on Sunday.
And then shit just goes down.
Hopefully we avoid it this year again. Maybe we'll maintain our "streak".

Yikes...I hope you guys feel better soon! I sure hope that's not what I'm getting. I didn't get a flu shot, so I guess it's my own damn fault if I do!
Weren't you the one that made fun of me for not decorating? Hmmmm?
I win!
You do.
I always have the sads when taking down the tree. I cry and get all mopey and depressed. I ALWAYS have a meltdown once it's out the house and I am doing the final vacuuming. At least DH knows to expect it now. :-(

If you do get it, stock up on tissues. This strain is just a lot of nasal goo. I used an entire tissue cube a day for 3 days straight (there's 56 tissues in one of those cubes). No body aches, no fever, no cough (except for me, since I have asthma), just buckets and buckets of goo.

Good luck!
Not a good thing for me to read while eating lunch!
I bought 4 boxes at the grocery store last night, so I must have had a feeling.
Hopefully not too much. Probably taking the Christmas stuff down, and throwing away my broken nativity scene and decapitated figurines. Why I thought DD would not bother them this year I don't know. I have several headless wise men and shepherds. I've been wiped the hell out all week, so I'm hoping to get a few naps in.
The plague is going around work, I'm just hoping to avoid it.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing this weekend... I will probably take down the tree on Sunday, and I'm trying to organize a get together with an old friend. She's been hard to get a hold of lately.
And I bought this beautiful violet colored nail polish 2 months ago that I may have to finally try out.
Last night I watched Toddlers & Tiaras and then fell asleep.
Today I went grocery shopping and got my hair cut. Not sure what we're doing this afternoon but tonight we're taking the tree down after Baby Fuss goes to bed (turns out it is counterproductive to try to do this while he is awake).
Tomorrow morning it's Baby Fuss's turn for a haircut, then maybe to my mom's place in the afternoon. We had been planning to get together with my brother and niece, but now apparently my brother is sick so my mom is down at his place today taking care of him. This would be the same woman who could not come to my house and help me out when Baby Fuss was sick because she had a mani-pedi scheduled. And the same woman who could not come and help us when I was sick a week later because obv I didn't even ask after the mani-pedi thing. Anyway.
