Ok well I officially had the first pregnancy announcement that really bothered me. First, I think my brother and SIL are trying, which immature/stupidly bothers me. But then today I had an acquaintance announce she was pg on FB.
SHE'S A LESBIAN. Now, don't judge me. Please to let me explain. Last we spoke (4 months ago?) she was in a longterm relationship with a woman (commitment ceremony serious). And now she's pg. By a man (..obviously).. the old-fashioned, I'm-in-love-with-you-and-we're-makin-a-baby way. Not the "can I borrow your swimmers so me and my wife can have a child that shares some of our genes" way.
So in the time I've been trying to get pg, yoooooou changed sexual orientation, left your wife, found a boyfriend, and are 8 weeks pg.
fdkja;lajarkljg. It's like losing a race to a turtle with a limp.
No, I'm not saying lesbians are turtles with limps, nor that she doesn't have the right to change her life... nor did she necessarily TRY to get pg (or leave her wife for that matter), and yesss it only takes one time... But COME ON! lol
My cousin is having her first in April & I'm expecting to miss her baby shower. As much as I love her & am thrilled for her after her early loss last year, there will be at least 2 other pg women I know there and I wouldn't be able to handle the combo. Knowing my cousin, she will probably understand...but my aunt may not.

I skipped a Christmas party because my sister is pregnant. My first due date was 3 weeks after hers. I didn't want to hear people ask when we are having kids. Not after 2 losses. I can't skip her shower though. I would have to explain why and I don't want to tell people we are trying and have had 2 losses.
