I hate being stuck at work when my baby is sick.

M is home sick. I couldn't miss work today so DH is home with him. He's been extremely fussy all morning so they're back at the pedi now. They are giving him an antibiotic shot for his ear infection. He'll have to have another shot tomorrow & Monday. Fingers crossed that this helps, he has been so, so, so miserable.

I really wish I could leave, come on 4:30.

Oh no! Poor Marshall. I am in the opposite situation. DS has a cold, and I don't want to be home with him! He's a whiny mess who doesn't want to nurse, sleep, or play. Just whine. I finally FINALLY got him to sleep and DH decides that was the right time to bang around and curse at the heating tanks under his window :@

He's tired tonight but not as cranky as earlier today. DH said after they got home from the doctor he was noticeably happier. He thinks the distraction of getting out of the house helped. He's nursed few times since I got home & we're snuggling now

Thanks A&S. I'm up with him now at 1am, he spiked a fever again. I gave him some ibuprofen, hopefully he'll sleep some.

DS is feeling much better today, but I caught his cold! GAH. DH has been so sweet and helpful though. He took DS when he woke up, so I got to sleep in until 8:45 (squee!). And DH is going to make dinner while I lay on the couch. Plus I got a new diaper bag!

Thanks everyone. Being sick while BFing really sucks. I can't take my beloved DayQuil/NyQuil or get any extra sleep b/c I have to nurse and put DS down for his naps (DS won't let DH rock him to sleep, he only wants me). I just want some sleeeep!

LOL I tried to call my mom and she couldn't do it! So I asked DH (who is not sick) to take DS grocery shopping so I could nap in a quiet house. You would have thought I asked him to go to Afghanistan! He said that was "too overwhelming" but would "man up" if I asked him to So I shortened my grocery list considerably to make it easier on him, which backfired b/c he was only gone an hour. Not enough time for a decent nap. Plus he handed me a hungry, cranky DS the moment I woke up. Gee thanks DH, real relaxing :@

Thanks! He is doing much better today, I think the antibiotic shots are doing there job.

We'll find out for sure tomorrow when the pedi rechecks his ears & gives the last shot. If things keep going this way we should be able to proceed with his birthday party next weekend as scheduled.
