He's had 3 skin infections since I've had him - about a year. I had him allergy tested and he's allergic to beef, chicken, eggs, rice, wheat, dust, and about 10 other things. I'm spending my Saturday night researching food that he can actually eat. FML.
One of my cats is allergic to beef and chicken, I fed her Evo for a while. They have cat and dog duck and venison flavors of wet food, grain free. It is pretty pricy unfortunately
Nature's Variety also has limited ingredient duck and lamb dry dog food.
Sorry you're dealing with this, it's no fun trying to figure out what sets them off.
Is he allergic to potatoes? If not try Acana, it's grain free. My dog is on the Pacifica and is doing awesome. He is allergic to everything. acana.com/products/regionals/pacifica-0
Rabbit and Potato is a good option, Royal Canin has the monopoly on rabbit though so you would have to feel confortable w/ that. True limited ingredient diet. Also duck is a good choice. Another option is a hydrolyzed protein diet which makes the protein source so small the body doesn't acknowledge it.
We feed taste of the wild salmon. It is good for my allergic boy
Another vote for TOTW for allergies. We use the high prairie but I'm thinking of trying the new boar one. We were on DVP's Natural Balance from birth to around 3 years old when allergies can develop and surface in some dogs.

Our dog has severe allergies, including food allergies. For environmental allergies he gets a Zyrtec every day. It works better than Benadryl and is non drowsy unlike hydroxyzine.
For food we feed natural balance (totw has chicken fat in a lot of their formulas so he can't eat them). He can eat duck as potato, bison, venison, and their rabbit flavor. Rotate novel proteins regularly to make sure your dog doesn't develop new allergies. We use a free and clear puppy shampoo, a dog with grain allergies can react to shampoo with oatmeal. For treats he gets carrots, apples, peanut butter, or natural balance treats. Once you get into the habit it's not bad at all. You also have to be careful what chews you use; rawhides and bully sticks will make a dog with beef allergies sick. We use the bully sticks made from buffalo.

My little guy has food allergies too. Right now he is on an Rx diet of Royal Canin Selected Protein Venison and Potatoes. He's been on it a little over 8 weeks and the change has been amazing. Its $$$ but Simon only eats a cup a day so the 17lbs bag I bought still has a few weeks left in it.
