I come from a land where washer, dryers, and fridges are included with the house...
$500 is probably what you would get on craigslist around here. At least when I was looking for a new dryer for our rental house, I was cruising craigslist and was finding 2-3 year old nice stuff for about $250 each or $500/set.

The hassle and expense of moving them would not be worth it to me, I dont think. Did you specifically state in your listing that these would not be included? Are you taking other appliances as well?
Washers and dryers are not included here. Neither are refrigerators usually, but they are commonly asked for.
If's funny how things vary based on location.
My husband has family in Paris, and apparently it's common to take not only your appliances with you, but your cabinets when you move! I don't understand that, because the cost of trying to get them to fit into your new home sounds expensive.
It is so, so bizarre to me that the appliances would not be included when you sell the house. The washer and dryer are always included here, so that is why my initial thought was $500 but that you are being totally ridiculous to ask for anything - just because it isn't the custom in my location.
If it is customary to NOT convey the appliances with the sale, I would probably ask for somewhere between $500 - $1000 total for the set. I bet you could only get about $500 on CL for them, so that is where I am coming up with the price. The other thing to keep in mind is that the buyers might have their own washer/dryer already since it is apparently not customary to convey the appliances with the house, so they might not be interested.
They asked for our refrigerator since their buyer asked for theirs. I think they were going to bring their washer and dryer, but I figured I'd ask (their agent said they may be interested). If they don't want them, I'll sell the dryer on cl and take the washer. I went with $1000 and more or less said take it or leave it.

If you still have the warranty paperwork, receipts, etc I'd say $1,000-$1,300.
Our seller tried to sell us her basic 10 year old dryer for $800 and acted offended when we wouldn't take it. The only appliances that came with the house were the range (which was broken) & dishwasher.
I think it will be worth a lot to the buyers to have a nice washer and dryer that they didn't have to go out and buy and get set up in the house. I would ask $1500 for the set, but be willing to go down to $1000. If they don't pay that, then I'd take the washer with you and sell the dryer, unless that would be too much hassle.
