Yeah, I thought I'd have time to read it during my week off, but that isn't going to happen. Plus I looked it up on amazon and it sounded really boring to me. Sorry! If I can, I'd still love to hang out with you guys (if that's allowed since I'm not reading the book!).
I'm going to try to do the MM book, if my library ever gets it!
I tried keeping kosher after I returned to the US from living in Israel. It's so easy to keep kosher in Israel. I was doing a great job (for a few months) until I saw someone else eating a bacon cheeseburger and couldn't help myself.
I think we are getting together on the 19th, right? I don't care what time!
Chili sounds great! Let me know what I can bring! Random question, but is there parking at your place or do I have to brave the T? (I've been spoiled in the burbs).
I don't fault you at all for giving up on keeping kosher. It can be tough. Fortunately, I don't know what I am missing most of the time because I have never tried some things (like bacon cheeseburgers).
I think we said the 19th. Would lunch or dinner time be preferable? I think my schedule is open that day, so I am fine with either.
Rikki, is there anything you would like me/us to bring? Also, I don't have your address, so would you mind sending it to me via PM or email?
Totally off topic but have you all done a GTG with each other before?
Yep! I've met most of the ladies on this board, as well as several that no longer post here regularly (*sad face*). We're still a pretty small board so it's easy to meet almost everyone, LOL.
I'm still waiting to meet pinkroses though.
elfinia, were you the post-doc who was contemplating two job offers a while back or am I mixing up Nexties? You should come to a GTG sometime too.
Nope, that wasn't me Honestly, I've thought about attending local GTG's before but I always chicken out at least when they were talked about back on TheNest.
