Because if the GBCN D&R board is like the old one, they'll just tell me to paint everything beige and cream, LOL.
Some of you will remember that I'm repainting most of the décor disaster that is my house. For those of you who don't, I think every member of the last family in this house got a room to paint, and no one consulted each other. Primary color choices included (glossy) lemon yellow, dirty blue, and Pepto-Bismol pink. Good times. I decided to go with warm colors on the first floor (to go with a taupe-y brown in the living room) and cool colors upstairs.
So here are my dilemmas:
1. I repainted the upstairs bathroom from dirty blue to a pale green. I like it, but I don't love it. And too many trips to Target has me jonesing for a slate gray room in the house. Would you repaint the bathroom again, or hold off because it's only been a year since you painted it last time?
2. Alternatively, I could repaint our master bathroom. Currently it's a nice shade of moss green, and I like it, minus the rose petal wallpaper border we inherited (along with matching shower curtain, valence, and wall art, all of which are gone)
3. Bear with me as I describe this. The house has an addition off the back. So the upstairs hallway is weird. It's an L-shape, and one "leg" of it has 2 doorways going down the hall, eventually leading into the master bedroom. The plan is for the entire hallway (before the first doorway) to be pale blue, then there's a no-man's land of about 3 feet before the next doorway, then the master is going to be pale gray. Currently the no-man's land is the taupe-y brown we have in our living room (no, I don't understand the previous owners' mindset at all). Trying to decide if I should paint it to match the hallway, the master, or leave as is.

I'd repaint the master. I just feel like you'll enjoy the gray more in your bedroom. Plus I love the idea of a pale gray bedroom.
I can't quite visualize the hallway situation. But I'm leaning towards the blue for no good reason. I feel like pale blue will segue well into pale gray.
At this point I'm leaning toward doing the green bath the slate gray, and repainting the vanity in there a pale gray (it's beat to shit, we don't have funds for a new one right now, and I have a lot of pale gray paint lying around). We kind of like the green master bath, I may just leave it and find a fun peacock blue to transform it someday (when the other gazillion rooms in my house get painted).

What towels and accessories are you looking at in Target, are you going to do grey too? and then grey walls and vanity? I like slate grey but I'm everything will look too dark and... grey (for a lack of better word) or do you have really good light in your bathroom?
My vote is for slate grey and then doing a pretty blue or green (or even white) vanity and then accessories. If you do slate grey paint, let me know how you like it, I've been thinking of painting a room that color but have going back and forth!
No I'm not planning on getting gray towels, etc. I just loved the color scheme and thought I could do it as a paint color. The vanity is going to be the palest gray, so I don't think it will be too much of an issue as far as darkness, just something more visually interesting than the trashed white vanity we have now (it's not even close to shabby chic).
I have no real advice as I suck at decorating though the slate bathroom sounds nice. But my husband and I are a little like your previous home owners.
We couldn't agree on colors so we divided up the rooms of the house we were painting. I got the kitchen, dining room and guest room. My husband got the 1st floor bathroom, living room and master bedroom. There's no color flow so to speak in our house but each room looks nice

LOL, I'm going to assume the colors you picked were better than what we ended up with!

Oh, that I think that would be pretty then-- kind of spa like and relaxing There are some gorgeous grey tiles at Lowes that I keep looking at everytime I walk by that section, that made me wish I did a spa-like bathroom!

I would like to think so I love purple so I have a deep purple and white kitchen, and did a soft dusty liliac for the dining room (I didn't intend to do purple in both rooms it just worked out that way . The guest room I did a softer yellow to make it feel bright. I really like it and will probably do the same color in our bonus room/walk in closet.
