It kid of depends on what we're having for dinner... I like to mix some things together, some things don't mix well. But I normally just pick along at whatever.
I eat bites of everything, but focus on what I like best because that's what I want to fill up on. That way, towards the end of the meal, I don't feel the need to eat more than I need to because what is left is the not as good stuff.
Brad eats everything in order of how much he likes it, saving the best for last. It ensures he cleans his plate whether he should or not.

Yeah, I do have to say that if there's something on my plate that I don't particularly care for, I tend to eat that first if I'm not mixing and mashing... And I do have a tendency to eat my veggies first. The theory is that I will fill up on veggies and eat less. In reality, I'm not convinced that it makes that big of a difference.
Dammit, how am I the weird one? No one else puts a little bit of protein, a little bit of carbs, and a little bit of veggies on the fork to eat as one complete, delicious bite? FI eats all of one thing (usually the main part of the dish) before moving on to another part. I give him grief for this but apparently he's not weird. He comes home from work all the time with a bag of chips because he only ate his sandwich. I could open up my own bodega.
Bowies. I will eat like that if it's meant to be like that. I will eat the Thai food I have made for dinner that way or in a nice restaurant. If I'm cooking at home though most of the time things wouldn't taste that great if I mixed them up, salad with chicken would be a gross cold hot thing.
My only exception that I can think of to only putting one thing at a time on the fork is something like chili and biscuits, or jambalaya and cornbread. Then, I break up about half of the bread and crumble it in to the soup/stew.

H will eating one thing at a time. Sometimes if it's a mixed vegetable, he'll eat each veggie type separately. It's rare that he does it, but I've seen it and I laugh.
depends on what it is. If it's something like a salad or nachos, every bite has a little bit of everything, usually. If I do mac & cheese with broccoli as a side I eat it all together, because the flavors go well together and it makes for an interesting bite. If I do mac & cheese with lemon broccoli as a side, I'll alternate bites because the creamy rich starch and then the bright, acidic citrus plays counterpoint really well but tastes like a muddled mess if I put it all together. Yes, even though the two are virtually the same.
I also eat my salad first, unless it's a counterpoint like that... I usually eat it at the same time as mac & cheese. And I usually take a bite of everything first to see what I want to do.

Oooh, I do this, esp if the carb is mashed potatoes. I put a little mashed potatoes on my fork, then spear the meat, then dunk in whatever the sauce is. However, I rarely include vegetables in my concoction.

and I'll add that my DH will make anything into a sandwich concoction if possible. If there are rolls or biscuits with dinner, everything will go into the roll/biscuit as a sandwich.
