H usually does most of the cooking, but I'm on my own for the next few weeks so I'm re-discovering how much fun it can be.
So far I've started off easy with French bread pizzas one night and tacos on another.
We don't have a grill right now, so tonight I'm "wasting" a delicious looking t-bone steak. I seared it in a skillet with some salt and pepper then put it in the oven to bake to finish cooking it. I'm sauteeing some potatoes and brussel sprouts in some olive oil with salt and pepper to go with it. I just moved, and those are the only spices available to me right now. I'm slowly learning how to cook the sprouts; I'll soon learn how it turns out!
I also cooked up some hamburger to make stuffed shells later this week. I have some ricotta, and I may also throw in some spinach and/or cottage cheese with them.
