"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
He grew up on a farm and was Catholic. I really don't know many of my cousins. With my dad being second youngest, most of my first cousins had kids that were my age.
My former boss had 15 kids (and mom was pregnant with 16 and 17) the oldest of whom was my age --- 15 years old. They were Mormon but owned a business that didn't involve farming, mowing or milking.
When MIL had twins (5 & 6) she didn't even know it. She just woke up from her birthing nap and the doctors handed her two babies.
MIL got her MA degree between 7 & 8. Crazy woman.
Oh and I love 7 out of 8 brothers. One is a douchcanoe who will put a brand new pool in his backyard before he feeds his kids and various other reasons.
DH is the oldest of 8. My MIL makes it look so easy. They are all well adjusted, fairly well-mannered and I like them all (well, one is on my asshole list lately, but that isn't usual)
My mom is one of 8 and my dad is one of 15. All but one are still alive. All single births. My poor grandmoms.
Yes, all single births as well. There's one set of Irish twins.
My dad is also one of eight. Three have passed. It always upset me that one grandma had to go through losing three kids, but the other didn't lose one. Not that I'd wish that on anyone, but it seems like my paternal grandma had more than her share of grief.
