We have an awesome student here, hard work, good morals, stand up kid. His family is struggling financially big time right now. He asked for manual labor around the school to earn some cash.

Our big dance is coming up, and he apologized to me, because he is a member of NHS and it's our dance. He said he really wanted to go, but couldn't, because money was so tight.

After the meeting, within 15 minutes, I was able to secure from his teachers enough to buy a ticket and give him a bit of cash to get his girlfriend of two years a corsage or gas or whatever. It's coming from an "anonymous donor."

Fwiw, this is the same kid who made origami flowers for his girlfriend's birthday.
