Good morning!! Yay for getting your house-husband back!
For me, I actually got some sleep (finally) last night, and I feel more refreshed. Still tired, but refreshed. And I am actually looking forward to rehearsal tonight where they will be running the whole show for the first time.
This is Greg's birthday week so we have lots of fun things going on!
Tonight we're going out to dinner and then to see City and Colour in concert--I'm so excited! Greg loooooves Dallas Green so I can't wait to surprise him with the tickets :-)
Sunday I'm taking him to an 11 course beer and bacon tasting event. It's run by a super nice restaurant so the food should be incredible. "Hickory Smoked Bacon Baked Northern White Beans with Black Truffle Essence, Candied Stone-Ground White Grit Cake with Aged Cheddar, Chocolate Drizzle Bacon and Maple Shortbread Cookies..."

Sushi night with the girls! I'm so excited! No sake for me, though. Just lots and lots of avocado rolls. NOM!
I'm going to run home and do a quick speed clean of the house before my friends get over. Hubby is also meeting with a contractor because we are getting new doors and windows. First the front door, then the windows. So at least that will be taken care of! Yay for getting things done!

This is a great week!
H started his new position this week, so he's home at a decent hour now. My boss is OOT and my workload is light, so I have plenty of time to GBCN. I saved enough fun money this month to get my hair done and my stylist has an opening on Saturday.
I was interviewed for our local paper yesterday and the story (and pics) will run Friday!!! The pictures in the studio were supposed to be taken before class. READ: before I was sweaty and gross, but she took them DURING class when I was sweaty and gross. Whatever, at least it will be accurate!!
I also joined our convention and tourism bureau for more exposure.
Morning! My dad is getting in from China tonight. He's been there for about two months now, and he'll be home the entire month of June, so we're all pretty excited...I can't remember the last Father's Day he was home for. I'm meeting my mom to pick him up at the airport and then we're all going out to dinner once M gets off work.
Morning! It is disgustingly hot in my office, but it's finally starting to cool down.
MH is in Seattle for a conference until Saturday morning, so I feel like I have no responsibilities this week. Last night I had cheese and crackers for dinner and watched crappy TV all night. lol

That's the best way to spend a night alone! Seriously.

Yay for sushi, PR, birthdays, and homecomings!!
There is so much shit going on right now that we're just trying to buckle down and ride it out.
DH was given this branch manager position a few weeks ago and great pay to go with it, but they have given him a dying branch (they have 2 techs when they need 16, and MH is so slammed with jobs he doesn't have time to interview anyone) and he has almost nothing to work with. So now he's not only still working 6am-11pm most days but also trying to set up a backup plan on the side in case they do close his branch.
On my work front, business is bad and I'm worried about layoffs since I was the last full time person hired. I don't really make enough here that it would affect us all that much, and in fact I probably won't stay long after coming back from maternity leave, but we are all on my insurance here and it is really good insurance.
Also, we're in desperate need of a bigger house with at least one more bedroom and more storage because we're already busting at the seams. We've been looking for a year but now of course it's even more urgent that we find something. The problem is that we have to find something that's a good deal like a foreclosure- something we can move quickly in a few years when we're ready to move on or build a house. Easier said than done in this town, so I'm sweating bullets (literally, the hormones don't help.)
Oh, and on top of that I'm trying to make sure we don't lose our other 2 trips for this year. Originally, we'd planned on Thailand and Mauritius in November but obviously that's going to put me traveling too late in pregnancy so I'm looking to combine those into one long beach vacay at the end of August. It looks like we'll be going to Tahiti again, but I'm waiting on that final confirmation email before I can breathe.
Tonight I will be working a bit late and then MIL comes down for dinner EVERY Wednesday. Don't get me wrong I LOVE her to pieces but she asked if we wanted to do a bible study with her about Daniel. DH agreed because he didn't want to hurt her feelings but I'm dreading EVERY.SINGLE.MOMENT.
We've already watched 1 hour of this 13 week course a few weeks ago (each section is an hour long). That hour seemed to take an eternity to be over. I have enjoyed some of the others she has brought down for us to watch. I enjoy learning all the history and theology but I am just not stoked about Daniel. Plus the lady on the DVD leading the study is just so annoying with her half faked southern draw. And her constant repetition of these biblical names that are 26 characters long make me want to poke my ear drums out with sticks. Plus we always do carry out from Bob Evan's or Panera and I'm sick to death of both. Grrrr!!
Other than working the remainder of the week we don't have any weekend plans as of yet. I hope to relax by the pool and work on my tan.
