Either the hotel at the airport in Germany on our honeymoon or the Ritz in Key Biscayne.
We are usually Embassy Suites or cheaper type hotel stayers. Usually when we go on vacation we are only at the hotel for sleeping so as long as it's clean we're not picky.
Hilton Palacio Del Rio on my wedding night in San Antonio. We had a river view room during Christmas season. All the lights on the trees were lit and it was beautiful.
we had a blast staying at the hard rock hotel that is on resort property at universal studios. they upgraded us to club level, which basically means there is a lounge you can only get access to on that floor that has free food/snacks/alcohol/drinks all day. they also had a pool/waterslide thing, with underwater speakers and a huge movie screen which was nice. the best part was the free early entrance to the parks. but being able to just walk 5-10 min back to the room to get lunch or whatever for free was amazing.
I had the exact same experience. I was in high school and with my parents and brother. It was awesome. I loved the rock music ambience, too.

We stayed in one of the tower suites in the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, AZ.
That chandelier in the background is over the bed, and the wall you can't see (that the couch is facing) has huge windows.
I can't find a good picture of the bathroom, but the shower was amazing. If I could build a dream bathroom in a future home, I would probably reference that bathroom.
Yes! Park Hyatt Paris! You will feel like a queen! I wanted to cry when I left. The room itself was not extremely large, but it was so luxurious, and the staff knew your name and catered to your every whim. The concierge got us difficult-to-get reservations on Valentine's Day, no less.
It was truly an extraordinary experience, made even better because we got the room for just $75. When we applied for a Hyatt credit card, we got three free nights anywhere in the world. We looked up the most expensive hotels (Shanghai and Paris), and then we went to Paris. Instead of paying $1,000/night, we paid the $75 annual fee for the credit card. Ta-da!
You and Mr. Miso need to teach a travel booking course. I am always amazed at your deals!
We should've had him do a quick in-person tutorial during Holiday Hoorah.
He found a glitch in the priceline app that has afforded us even better deals. He forbids me from sharing online, for fear priceline finds out and corrects the glitch. LOL.
In South Germany. It was small, but had HUGE rooms. The price was incredible for what it was (probably because it was a small little village), and the food was incredible. I loved it. We spent a week there together, and MrJJ stayed on for another 11 days (but switched to a single room). The hotel was also in a park, and the landscaping was very lovely. It was up a hill from the village, and there was a series of gardens & waterfalls all the way down.

This is a little creepy but I got drunk in that room or one just like it. I did a work trip at the Valley Ho. I was in a regular room but a co-worker was in one of the suites. That hotel was awesome.

I have three that I LOVED-
Jet Hotel in Denver- Urban boutique hotel, not expensive, and there is a club downstairs. www.thejethotel.com/
Citizen M in Amsterdam at the airport- It was just cool. The lights and curtains can be programmed to different colors, the shower is like a TUBE in the middle of the room. This would not be okay if you are not into seeing your SO go to the bathroom or shower. www.citizenm.com/schiphol-amsterdam-airport/
Hotel Jazz in Barcelona- Gorgeous rooms with big windows, bathroom was pretty, and the location was great. We stayed there twice and recommend it to everyone. www.hoteljazz.com/default-en.html
We eloped here. Gorgeous views of the reef from our room, bedroom walls that could be pushed open so it felt like sleeping outside. The snorkeling was excellent and the island was so tiny you could kayak around it in 20 minutes.
Rustic luxury - the rooms are mostly screened in and falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle was crazy. Monkeys played in the trees just outside our room.
