Does anyone do this as exercise? I recently got a skipping rope and did it for the first time today. It was so hard. I only lasted about 7 minutes because my lungs could not keep up. It has me huffing and puffing way more than running.
Have you found it to be a good way to stay in shape? I like that I can just head to my backyard to do it.
Jumping rope is a great way to get cardio. And it's relatively easy to do. I do Crossfit and we incorporate a lot of jumping rope into our workouts, as well as double unders. See links below:
I actually asked a co worker to modify one of his jump ropes for me. Its something I can do at home and is a great workout. I'm still waiting for one to show up, but I'm excited for the change to work at it.
