Hi there! I just wanted to intro myself and say hello. I've lurked a bit on here and on ML but never actually posted before.
I'm 30 and expecting my first child with my husband of 2 years. It was a total accidental pregnancy but we're happy about it. Had been planning a big trip in the Spring and were going to start trying then but oh well, plans change. We were using Today's sponges (yes, like in Seinfeld) because we were super limited on BC options and I guess they aren't as effective as we thought.
Anyway, hello to all and glad to have somewhere to post questions and share discussions so I can stop with the What To Expect forums that are driving me batty.

Apparently not. I had an IUD for awhile but got it taken out because of side effects and then didn't have many other options due to hormonal issues (no bc pills) and latex allergies (no condoms). I asked my doctor for a diaphragm and she laughed at me. She was pretty much like uhhhh... I guess you can try the sponges. My friends were constantly making fun of me for it, haha. It wasn't a bad deal though... I mean, other than the whole unplanned pregnancy.

tulips- We were going to go to Ireland. Pretty much my husband's dream trip but I was looking forward to it too. My doctor said we should still go but I just think it wouldn't be quite as fun minus all the whiskey and Guinness.
