I've never played it and did not own it. I had the opportunity as a kid, but never chose it as the game I wanted to play if, for example, I was at a friend's house. But I was an odd kid and loved playing Trivial Pursuit. I do like strategy games as an adult, but I think now Monopoly would be too simplistic.
I LOVE Monopoly, but no one will play with me anymore. I get a little... competitive. I also won't take stupid trades so people seem t to think I don't play nicely. I dislike the iPhone version so I don't really get my "Monopoly fix" very often.
My H and I played it recently, too. We decided not to play again so that our marriage wouldn't suffer. lol.
Haha. That's pretty much how it went down with us, too. We need a neutral 3rd player in the future.
Oh, this is us with Munchkin. It needs at least three players. The thing is, the other players can gang up to prevent someone from winning. I am way too competitive and get so mad when H jumps in to drag me down. (Kidding, mostly.)
We have like four versions of it, including a copy I picked up living in England (the different property names blew my mind - what do you mean it's not Boardwalk??) and the electronic banking version.
I love Monopoly, always have. I was an only child, so I would even play by myself as a kid, creating an imaginary player to play against (that sounds kind of sad, doesn't it?).
H and I can't play one on one, we're both too competitive. We need others to buffer our crazy. It's the only thing that's ever caused us to really fight.

This is my husband. I refuse to play with him or his family because they all become crazily competitive at Monopoly.
For the same reason, he refuses to play scrabble with me.
However, we have other games that we enjoy playing together. .

Yes. I have also played the Nintendo version of Monopoly, which is awesome because there is no pesky having to count out money. Also, the pieces do fun little jigs as they move.
