I am applying for a Disney Premier Visa card so that we can accumulate rewards points and Disney gift cards for our vacations. The first year annual fee is waived, and I will determine whether or not the rewards outweigh the annual fee of $49. I have one credit card that is used only sporadically and has a pitiful rewards program, so I have no real incentive to use it. But anyway. The APR for this card is 14.24%. I know next to nothing about credit cards because I don't use them. And I know that the APR is moot if I pay it off every month, but I just want to make sure I'm not signing on for some stupid APR.
Basically, I just need my hand held. I haven't applied for a credit card in about seven years. Tell me everything will be okay.
I would say that APR isn't horrific. I believe we have a 10% APR for our current card, but I don't really pay attention since we pay it off each month.
Yeah, I have no idea what the APR is on my current card. I rarely carry a balance, and if I do it is really small. This card would be used for large purchases that we would otherwise pay cash for, just to get the rewards.
I think rewards cards often have higher APRs than non-rewards, but I get them anyway because I pay them off every month and just use them for the bonuses and rewards.
