I got some plus size jeans at K-mart (surprisingly) that fit great. I'm quite blessed in the rear region and they fit and look good. I wanna say they were about 20 bucks and they have held up really nice. I think the brand was jacklynn smith.

The last time I bought jeans, I found a pair of Kut from the Kloth and Express ReRock jeans at TJMaxx for about $25 apiece.
Somebody had posted a blog link here that recommended some brands to try, and I just happened to find two of them at rock-bottom prices in my size. And they're both great.
I'm also a size 16 but I'm 5'10. Gap long and leans fit me the best so I don't care if I look like I'm wearing mom jeans.
They don't have massive gapping between waist/hips since I have 12 inch difference between the two, they come in tall which I need, and I haven't had any wear out/rip/fall apart on my yet.
The major downside is they're more expensive than I care for, but whenever Gap has 30-40% off sales, I grab a pair.
I normally wear ON jeans but they've all shrunk. And its not our dryer. H's jeans are just the same and fine but all of mine shrunk. I chaulked it up to PMS. Nope. My off-brand jeans fit.
I'll check out Gap and I'll see where the closes Plato's closet is. The Goodwill in my town is super sketch.
Goodwill/thrift shops. There's a badass goodwill by me that always has a huge selection of barely worn designer jeans for 20 or less.
WHERE IS THIS? Can we go thrifting? I get overwhelmed and feel like I miss out on a lot.
The one on Broadway! Also, Buffalo Exchange and then there are a bunch of little resale shops in my new 'hood I want to check. I'm down! You know about GucciMaxx (a badass TJ Maxx) way down on University, right? That's my other go-to store.
Gap and Loft. Loft has some good jeans for curvy girls -- regular price are kinda of spendy ($59ish), but I get emails with in store coupons or online coupon codes all the time, and they last forever.
