I use boric acid in the same way, FWIW. But you'd have to make it yourself (put boric acid in gelatin caps) or have your doctor write a script for a compounding pharmacy to make it.
(This is was recommended to me by my OB/GYN. It is a proven way to deal with chronic yeast issues.)
General disclaimer: please don't try this if you're pregnant. I read some (not legitimate, but still concerning) websites that suggest this has been used by crunchy types to induce abortion, with varying degrees of (probably unrelated) success.
It's safe for non-pg. I had minor irritation the first time I tried it, but none since.

I did it pre-pregnancy. I went out and bought it the day you first posted it.
I tried it. It made me have a light period in the middle of my cycle. I also felt like it gave me a weird odor down there. Maybe it was too acidic for me personally.
