I haven't bought bathing suits in a few years (I've basically been pregnant or post-baby for the past four years). I would like to buy 2-3 new suits this year, especially because we're taking a Caribbean trip this spring! What styles do you love? Would love to see a few PIP if you don't mind. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what's in these days since most retailers don't have their swim stuff out.
FWIW, I typically wear two-piece suits although I'm not opposed to a one-piece.

I'm a classic two piece bikini girl. I think this look is forever in style. For comfort, I prefer tops with a little bit of structure. Kind of like an underwire bra, rather than a bandeau or triangle top. I also go for fun, bright colors.
I think mid winter is when some retailers do their resort lines, so maybe keep an eye out in the coming weeks.
I usually like a 2 piece with a halter style top, regular or side tie bikini bottoms. Last year I got my first one piece (since childhood) but it has a halter style and low front V with cute ruffles around the neckline. I don't wear it as much as the bikini, but nice if you plan to actually swim or go someplace like a water park.
Since I am larger up top I like halter top bikinis with some structure. I just bought two from Tommy Bahama that came in a 36D top and they turned out super cute and age appropriate.
I think this mostly depends on your body type, but fwiw, I like bandeau tops with detachable straps and regular bottoms.Whatever the style, I can only buy separates bc I'm am smaller on top proportionately to the bottom.

I like two piece best. I always bring a halter top and a bandeau and rotate them so I don't get funky tan lines.
I prefer plain old bottoms too. The side tie always sag in the butt on me.
I also like to get solid color suits and I mix and match the tops and bottoms (a la The Hills, like 5 years ago so that's likely dated, but I love it.)
