I'm going home and sleeping tonight. I'm just excited for the weekend. This is the first time I've had to work all day on a Friday in a while and I'm sincerely bitter. But, I start my new job on Monday so I need to get things wrapped up here.
I'm so excited for this new job. It's my hope that I'm actually busy all day because my work won't be as dependent on other people. As a project manager I can't actually do the projects... so if my resources are all busy I'm dead in the water. In my new job I'll actually have stuff that I can do on my own and that is exciting to me to not have my momentum rely on other people as much.
I'm going to suck it up and go to the gym and ask for help. It makes me die a little bit inside, but I need someone to show me what I can/cannot do. I felt good when I was lifting weights and I'd like to get back into it.
Other than that - cleaning. It's been a busy week so I'm ready for some downtime.
Woohooo! We're going to TWO dates this weekend. Tonight we're going to our favorite place for dinner and then to the comedy club and tomorrow night we're seeing my favorite band Guster. Yay!

I am off work today and going to do 5 million errands/tasks. Tonight I will probably zonk out on the couch at 8:30.
Tomorrow will be laundry, a little grocery shopping, cleaning up and organizing shit around the house, and some packing. My ILs fly in sometime Saturday night but I'm not sure if we'll see them depending on when we get in.
Sunday we leave for Hawaii. I'm only a little excited over here. I think I have not had a "real" vacation -- i.e. where you go someplace with the express purpose of relaxing and having fun -- in about 4 years.

Yay I expect you to take a LOT of photos please. Don't forget to eat the shave ice. Jo jo's is supposed to be real good in Waimea, we didn't get to try it. :-(
Tonight is my company's holiday party (they do it in January so we don't have one more holiday obligation to fit in in December). It's a casino night and is usually a lot of fun. Of course this is the FIRST year they're doing full open bar (instead of just wine and beer). Fuck my life.
Tomorrow I plan on hanging out and watching more Fringe.
Also, I went to Jo Jo's shave ice in Waimea. It was good, but I thought Wishing Well on the north side was better. Also, the secret to shave ice is to get macadamia nut ice cream on the bottom!!!!
I'm thankful for Friday! Ugh. The short holiday weeks messed me up. Tonight I'm making treats for my aunt's memorial on Saturday. Saturday, we're setting up for, attending, and cleaning up after my aunt's memorial and Sunday I'll be volunteering at the cat sanctuary. I am hoping to find some time to get on my bike for a training ride, but I'm guessing I'm going to run out of time.

I didn't see Wishing Well. Hee Fat General Store in Kapa'a had the best of the ones we tried, but yes I agree - macadamia nut ice cream is a must! Koloa shave ice was good too.
I'm using a movie gift card to see Silver Linings Playbook. Going out for a run and going to time myself for a mile to see where I am. Just trying to get out of the house so I don't mope. This week has been rough, and it's not over yet.

Today is my last day before my bosses come back from the annual supplier conference in Hawaii... I hope they bring me pineapple candies to make up for the fact that I didn't get to go.
This weekend I will again be tackling Mt. Laundry, hopefully finishing the blanket I'm crocheting for a friend's birthday, and finishing my jewelry holder project while DS does his painting project too. And we'll probably be watching the Seahawks game on Sunday.

DL, we are actually staying in Waimea so I don't see how Jo Jos can be avoided.
Muddled, the grocery shopping is just to get us through Saturday night plus a few other things we need to pack and take with us. We have a $10 off store coupon we need to use.
After Kauai we are going to the Big Island and we'll be staying at a Fancy Resort for a wedding. Yay!

DL - I love Guster! We saw them two summers ago, not knowing who they were, and then left the show and downloaded all their CDs. I sing This Could All Be Yours to Astrid every day and she loves it. H will sing the oh oh ohoh's from the other room when he hears me singing.
While DD was at daycare this morning H and I went to breakfast. I didn't even cry. I thought about it. I almost cried, but I sucked it up. She was fine (of course) and didn't cry at all either.
Ok, we really need to take this tree down. I haven't watered it in weeks and it is seriously droopy. Ornaments are going to start falling off if I don't get to them first.

Oh cool motzie! They are originally from Boston and I've been seeing them since the mid 90s. I love them! They are doing their acoustic tour, which I am so excited to see.

We're broke this weekend, so we'll be doing a whole lot of nothing.
If it's dry enough, I will take the kids for a long walk to wear their butts out. Beyond that, I dunno. I won't see them after I leave for work Monday (the elders are sleeping over at MIL's) so I will try and cram as much time in as possible.
