Brought to you by Jack Lew, Secretary of the Treasury
Before I got married, no. My signature with my maiden name was not legible and I didn't even write out my entire first name. It was VMaidenName.
With my married name, I couldn't do the VMarriedName because it didn't flow well and it took me forever to remember to sign with my married name, but it's still probably not legible. My first name is, but I'm sure my last name isn't.
I sign Steph LASTNAME I used to write out the whole thing, b/c before i got married, my last name was much shorter, so I didn't mind writing out my whole first name. But now that both are long, It just seems like a lot of work, plus, it doesn't fit well on signature lines on receipts and such. Its all fairly legible though
I used to love my signature with my maiden name. I have very loopy handwriting, and my name was very 'loopy'. My signature was very legible.
I hateeeee writing my married name. It's got all these R's in it and it's probably my least favorite letter to write. It throws everything off. So my first name is still legible... last name, not so much.
It's relatively legible. I sign my full name, Sarah Maiden Married. When I just sign Sarah Married it is extremely legible b/c it doesn't flow well. It did take me a full year to find the flow in Maiden Married though.

Mine is not. My married name starts with the same letter as my maiden name. I was having a really hard time making the switch because of it. Once I did my first name and first letter of my last, habit kicked in and I just signed my maiden. So I changed my last name into LastInitial-scribble. Then I had to make my first name scribblier (it wasn't the neatest to begin with but it was more legible then) too so they would both match. If you looked at my first name, you can still kind of make out the letters if you know what they are.

If I'm taking my time (signing checks, cards, etc.) rather than just quickly signing a credit card receipt in a fast-moving line, then yes. My first name is more legible than my last name, but you could probably tell what both said if you looked for a second or two.
Mine is so illegible you can't tell my current last name (which is Irish and starts with an O-apostrophe) and my former married last name (which looks nothing like the current one except for length and last letter and which started with a T.)

Mine are all legible. My old signature wasn't really at all, but I figured out a way to nicely flow my first name into my married name, so now I write it all legibly.
