And they moved to a new house and I thought there would be tons of new projects and decor posts and there has been almost none. And the ones there are, seem hastily written and short and boring...
I am fine with blogs sharing life stuff, but her blog is now completely all about adoption and self helpey/ inspirational stuff. I am kinda bummed there isn't more balance. It went from being my favorite read to I am ready to delete it from my reader.

I agree with you.
I think I was somehow late to this blog (though I've been checking in on it for more than a year) and missed all her actual decorating. What was the era when she was doing a lot of decorating? Was it awhile ago?
Probably like 3 years ago. She re-did her kitchen and the reading room twice, and both times they were beautiful. Did their dining room, 2 bathrooms, and lots of small projects. was the queen of "Mantle" decor and did seasonal posts on that...there was always some sort of project, whether it was painting a bench or stencilling on the backs of chairs or setting a beautiful table.
Yeah, she's gotten way too cutesy for me. I came in on the tail end of her actual D&R posts and added her to my reader, but now I'm thinking about taking her back off.
I read her from the beginning and I'm surprising myself that I still keep her on because that's not the kind of thing I usually go for (religious, etc). But I guess I do still like her and she takes such nice pictures. I just skim most posts.
I did also just recommend her blog to a friend who is recovering from surgery, religious and hoping to adopt someday.
I think she's officially jumped from Design/DIY to Lifestyle blogging. I'm not a big fan of lifestyle blogging, and she's about thisclose to being knocked out of my reader.
