Some food cravings/problems were mentioned in a m/s thread, and in the FFFC thread. I want to talk more about the food.
I mentioned in one of the other threads that I have a constant belly grumbling hunger, and an empty stomach is when my m/s is the worst, but there are so few foods that are appetizing to me. Even the thought of most food makes me want to hurl. And the foods that don't churn my stomach are completely and totally unhealthy. For example:
McDonald's breakfast sausage cheese biscuit. Frozen pizza. Pickles. Oddly, ketchup always sounds good, which the only way to eat that is with fries. Oh, and orange juice, which I hate when I'm not pregnant. That's probably the healthiest of my cravings.
I guess I could say that on the bright side, I'm apparently puking enough that all the junk I'm eating has not caused me to gain any weight yet. Hoping that the nausea/vomiting tapers off soon so I can start eating fruit and veggies again.
Tell me about what you're eating so I don't feel as bad about my bad habits.

I went through a period a few weeks ago where I was eating a lot of McDonalds breakfast....I needed to eat something and that was what sounded good. I was also eating a lot of fast food in general...I would get a craving for a certain place, go once, and it was out of my system. Then I'd want to go to another place. I think I was going somewhere new every day for about a week and a half.
I say eat whatever you can, it's not like it's going to be your diet forever!

Well all I crave is carbs... like gluten-filled, homestyle comfort food filled with carbs (I am gluten intollerant!). This kid has made me eat more gluten than I should and as a result I have been gassy, burpy and extremely bloated!
My MS was pretty bad nausea-wise, but lukily I never actually puked. I also found that I could minimize it by keeping something (anything bland) in my stomach at all times; saltines, banana, GF toast, bagels, etc. Also, I would wake up between 1-2 am and need to eat a small snack (crackers, string cheese, cookies, something) or I couldn't go back to sleep. If I forced my self to sleep without a tiny bit of something the MS would be 100x worse in the morning!
I couldn't expand into normal foods again until about 10-11 weeks.

When I make homemade nachos I use cottage cheese as a topping instead of sour cream. I actually use greek yogurt in place of sour cream anyways. But cottage cheese on my nachos...soooo freaking good.

I've been eating a lot of crap the past couple of days. I couldn't keep anything down for a week and a half, I lost four pounds, so once my doctor prescribed me Zofran and I can actually eat, I'm hungry all the time. Dill pickle potato chips are my current favorite. Today I finally decided I should probably do a little better, so I tried to stick with fruit, yogurt, some easy veggies. We did go out for breakfast this morning though, and the hash browns were amazing.
I've actually been eating a lot of fruit. For some reason it goes down alright and satisfies me.
Though that was until I puked up raspberries this morning. Might have to rethink that one. We'll see.
Haven't had any fast food yet, but now you guys make me want McDonalds. But I think I'm too lazy to get dressed and walk down there. Wish DH was home to get me some!

I went through a whole jar of pickles last week lol. I want lots of carbs and stuff that is super salty. I'm having really bad heartburn at night so I try to avoid anything acidic. I've been eating a lot of Kraft mac and cheese for lunch, which is funny cuz I havent eaten that in years. I always have to eat a late night snack or I feel terrible throughout the night/morning. My m/s has been pretty bad. Nausea all day with plenty of barfing. And I have already gained 5 pounds. Fun stuff.....
I was carb crazy up until about a week ago. It was all I could eat that didn't make my stomach churn.
About a week ago, though, I started craving vegetables. Like I could eat an entire bag of romaine lettuce. Steamed broccoli. Baby carrots and hummus. My parents brought over pizza last night, and I was having none of it. Instead I ate two bowls of salad.
