Do you still like to play with ... the buttocks area? Yes, from time to time.
Do you want more kids? Yes, at least one. DH wants at most one more so I think one more will be it.
What has surprised you the most about being a parent so far? It is more work than I expected. I figured it would be a piece of cake (I thought residency and med school would prepare me for no free time, sleep deprivation, etc). We had a really colicky baby and even though that is gone and she is a good sleeper now, it is still hard having a little being completely dependent on you every second of the day.
Did you get married at Sandals or something similar? Would you recommend it?
We got married at Secrets Maroma Beach. I LOVED it (and just saw the resort listed in Travel magazines top 500 hotels in the world). Dh and I went back for our first anniversary and can't wait to go again. Great experience, especially because it was my second wedding and I wasn't going for the "pretty princess day" thing.
Another question (s) - 1. how old are you? and 2. How long is TOO long to wait to have a kid? Is waiting until your mid-30s really that bad of an idea (I'm thinking financially and emotionally as well, not just physically).
1. I just turned 33. 2. This obviously depends on the person. I don't think waiting until mid 30s is a bad idea at all, especially in a relatively new relationship (good to have time just the two of you). I think you have to balance finances, etc with concerns about getting too old, etc. Of course anyone can have problems TTC but I would try sooner rather than later if there are any concerns about possible fertility problems (PCOS, weight issues, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc).
Lastly, thanks for the info about Sandals. We consider it too since it would be a 2nd wedding for both of us I'll add the hotel to my list of options.
Do you have siblings? Are they jealous of your lifestyle? 2 sisters. I don't think they are jealous.
What kind of boat do you have? A MB Sports Tom Kat (wakeboard boat)
What is your fav room in your house? Probably our downstairs theater room. DH just spent WAAAY too much money on a 100 inch screen and projector. I was not in favor of it, but now I kind of love it.
Did you deliver V vaginally or via C? Drugs or natural? Vaginally, epidural (but I didn't get it until 7 cm so I had plenty of time for pain!).
Which Nestie do you think you are most like? This is hard. I don't want to offend anyone...
Least like? I think AmeliaPond and I are very opposite.
What color is your hair? dark brown with auburny highlights (esp in the summer).
I'm pretty sure I ate the sticker on my apple this morning. Am I going to die? Yes, but probably not soon and not as a result of eating the sticker.
Do you have any fun weekend plans? No. We've been busy lately so we're just going to take it easy this weekend.
What's the most embarrassing thing that happened to you recently? I went for my yearly gyn appt and when the OB went to do the exam, she started laughing and was like, "you'll have to take your underwear off..." I don't know what the hell I was thinking.

My CW was really sick this week - she moved recently and had not yet foudn a primary care doc (she's in her 20s). She called a lot of offices looking for an appointment -- a lot of them charged an annual fee between $200 - $1800 for new patients, or just didn't accept insurance. Is this the future?

Yes. If you want gold standard medical care. Rich people will pay for this kind of thing. Poor and middle income people will see government employed nurse practitioners and PAs and then have to wait for referrals to a specialist when their 100th zpak prescription fails to cure their "bronchitis" which is actually stage 4 lung cancer.

:-(
I finished up my 2nd round of antibiotics (including one zpack) for bronchitis that doesn't seem to want to clear up. I had an x-ray though - I suppose to rule out pneumonia. It was clear. Do I have lung cancer?

Probably not. But you also probably didn't need either round of antibiotics. Bronchitis is nearly always viral. My guess is that a few days of steroids would clear you right up.

Whew! Steroids like an inhaler? They gave me a breathing treatment the 2nd time around, in the office, via a nebulizer. But then they prescribed an inhaler, and told me specifically that it was really just for symptoms and wouldn't actually make me better.
So, for general cough, cold, bronchitis, sinus congestion symptoms, where Docs throw antibiotics at you, it's generally a waste, right?
yes. Unless you have pneumonia or a TRUE sinusitis (which means symptoms for at least 10 days, fever, purulent discharge, etc), antibiotics are pretty much never indicated for upper respiratory infections. Docs just cave because everyone comes in acting like they are dying and "OH, I CAN'T be sick, I have too much to dooo...boo hoooo..." So they give you antibiotics to make you think they did something for you.

They probably gave you an albuterol inhaler (proair, proventil or ventolin) which is a bronchodilator and would help with symptoms. If I have a patient with a persistent cough after a couple weeks of "bronchitis" that is driving them crazy, I will sometimes try a few days of steroid pills. They are anti-inflammatory and seem to help kill that lingering cough.
What career would you pursue if you weren't a physician?
When I was in college I thought I might want to be a teacher. I know for sure now that I am not cut out for that...I think I would want to do something in business...maybe healthcare administration. If money was not a consideration, I would be a personal trainer.

I thought so.
Any new good in-laws stories?
Not really. There was a misunderstanding a couple months ago (I walked in the house to get V and overheard part of a conversation out of context) where I thought for a day or two that they might not want to watch her anymore. I kind of shook me up because I realized how great DH's mom is with her and how much I would hate to have to find a nanny, etc. It made me appreciate them a lot more and somehow they haven't seemed as annoying since
