Talk me off a ledge please. I have had a fever for 2 full days now, taking Tylenol to keep the temps down (under 101). Going to see the Dr. tomorrow, maybe I can get some Tamiflu (if it is indeed the flu).
I'm panicked that this is dangerous for the fetus. Please tell me you have been through this before and it will all be ok. If I am being a drama queen, feel free to slap me across the face and banish me to the Bump.
It will be fine! As long as your temp doesn't spike and you go to the doctor tomorrow, all should be fine. Try putting a cold rag on your head and neck, drink lots of water, and just rest as much as possible.

You're fever isn't too high and you can control it so I wouldn't be too concerned. I feel your pain though, I just got over a sinus infection/virus/cold death thing. I did without antibiotics because my doctor is a big meanie head(lol, not really). She told me just to let it run its course. It took about 3 weeks. Things that helped/I took that was approved
Robitussin - I took this only at night and like every other night when I was keeping DH up coughing Tylenol Sinus(not cold and sinus or flu, JUST the sinus one b/c its Tylenol and Sudafed together both of which are OK) Vicks vapor rub A humidifier(God I wish I had gotten one sooner, its amazing) Hot showers. In fact sometimes I just sat in the bathroom with the hot water on even though I wasn't in the shower. Green tea with lemon juice and honey. Also adding lemons to my water helped get rid of the gunk in my throat.
And I had a low grade fever earlier in my pregnancy, and the nurse told me to call back it my temp was 104 or above. I just took tylenol and a couple of sick days and loaded myself up with water and vitamin c.

Ugh, it does suck, but you'll be fine! I was sick with a fever around 6-7 weeks. I just took Tylenol if my temp went above 100, drank plenty of OJ, and rested. My OB also wanted to be sure I didn't have strep throat, so my PCP put me on an antibiotic. Hope you feel better soon!
