I know angryharpy cut out alcohol for the year. I am cutting way back for weight and anxiety reasons. I haven't had a drink in a week, which seems like a really long time!
Anyway, if you've decided to cut back/cut out alcohol, how is it going?
Non-prego signing in. I'm limiting myself to not drinking Monday-Thursday. I normally have 1 drink with dinner, and 2-3 on a Friday and/or Saturday night. I'm trying to lose weight.
Yes, but I did because I'm pregnant. It's probably good though because I was drinking a lot this past spring/summer before the bfp. I miss it though. I plan on drinking a bit after the baby but not much since I will be BFing. Then I will be seriously dieting. I have no fun on the horizon
I miss it more now than I did for the first couple of months (I had an aversion). I'm not cutting it out completely though; I have a half a beer or a half glass of wine once a week or thereabouts.
I'm not pregnant, but I've never been a big drinker, so I don't have much to cut. I am making an effort, though, because I really need to get back in shape. I look at this as low-hanging fruit. If only I could wave off boredom snacks this easily.
I am cutting back for anxiety reasons. Just need to keep reminding DH so he doesn't ask me in front of everyone why I don't want a drink. He means, just forgets.
I am cutting back as well and I am not PG. I decided this for a couple reasons: 1. weight loss 2. it is so darn expensive. Hopefully I can lose weight and save some money.
Cutting it to 1 glass a week and thats it. My saturday nights out were getting of control, my ass has to be up at 4 and between that, going to the gym daily was really messing up with my progress. I mainly only drink water now though.

I don't know if I'm your target demographic, but I quit drinking and I'm not pregnant. Thing is, I decided to see how long I could go without a drink ... over 8 years ago! I still can't think in terms of "never again" but damn, I'm proud of my streak!

I decided to cut it out completely for 3 months to aid in weight loss. It hasn't been too difficult. I'm used to not drinking from being pregnant twice.
I'm cutting back weekday/after work drinking for weight loss purposes. It's going okay, I've been drinking a lot of sparkling water instead of my usual post-work/pre-dinner cocktail. I'm still allowing myself to drink a bit on the weekends though.
Not pregnant but I'm cutting back too. I don't want to quit completely, but I've decide I'm allowed no more than 2 drinks in social situations and trying to limit non-social drinking. I had a beer the other night and drank a bottle of wine over a few days last week, but that's all I've had so far in 2013. Which probably is more than some of you, lol. I haven't really done much socially in the last couple of weeks so I guess it may be harder if I go "out" for drinks.
I mostly just don't want to be hungover and I'm trying to watch what I consume in general. I cut back a LOT on casual drinking a year or so ago and didn't notice any difference in my weight so that's a bummer.

I am not drinking at all until I lose 5 pounds (out of 15), then this is what I plan to do as I phase back in drinking. I mindlessly drink like some people mindlessly eat, and it is good for neither my waistline nor my anxiety. I really don't need to sit in my house and have a drink on a regular basis.
