Ok, I know the bump is full of "when do you have your first doc appt" questions, but I gotta ask.
I went to a doc when I was visiting my parents over the holiday. I was having cramps so they did a couple ultrasounds just to make sure everything was ok. It was, even saw a little flickering heartbeat, so I'm feeling ok about that.
But I never did an initial checkup (bloodwork, medical history, clarifying dates...etc).
Midwife here doesn't want to see me until 15/16 weeks. But I'm supposed to bring in a scan and bloodwork from the doc when I come.
Now for the question:
Should I....
a) see the doc this week (already have appt) at 9 weeks to get initial checkup and such? I have a lot of questions to ask but nothing urgent.
or b) wait until 12/13 weeks and do everything then so my scan and bloodwork are more recent?
Also, I'm not planning on doing a fetal assessment at 12 weeks, if that makes a difference.

I see my OB every six weeks. My first appt with her was at 10 weeks. Then again at 16. I had a blood draw and everything at 10 weeks. We had to go to an MFM for the NT scan at 12.
So, idk, I'd call the midwives and ask if they'd rather have something more recent or if your 9 week bloodwork will be ok.
