Please tolerate the crazy, I got AF this morning, so my cycle was only 25 days long. Does anyone else here have short cycles?
I *think* time between going off pill (that "faux" AF) and the next AF was more like 37 days. But that's probably not typical, right b/c I was just going off BCP? Like I should expect a 25-day cycle?
If my timing is right, it looks like we were a little late to the party during cycle 1. I'm going to start temping and OPKs this time (should come in the mail tomorrow).

My cycles are short 24-27 days. If you're getting off BC in the last couple months, I'd give it another few months. Definitely start charting and using opks if you can.

My first cycle off BC was 30 days, and then I regulated to 25 immediately after. Now my average is 26, with ovulation around day 16 (this gives me an average LP of 10, but often shorter...I'm going to the doctor this morning).
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

My cycles regulated pretty much right away after BCP, and my average cycle length is 27 days. However, I ovulate on the early side- from CD11-CD14- and I have a longer LP - 13-15 days. So we have to get it on pretty soon after my period ends, or we'll miss it. Your best bet is to chart (temp and OPKs ) to see where ovulation falls for you.
I'm a little confused with your dates- was your first cycle 37 days or 25? A cycle length goes from your first day of your period until the day before your next one starts.
Another short cycle-er here - mine are typically 24-27 days, with a 12 day LP (which, as Swizz pointed out, is more important than cycle length). Charting and OPKs should definitely help you with timing for this next cycle. Beloved, GL today!

I think the first cycle was 37 days, but I could be mistaken. I used to be like clockwork, so hopefully I'll regulate around 25-28 days. I haven't gotten the basal thermometer or the OPKs in the mail yet, so I'll start charting on CD 3 or so (hope that's okay). I need to sit down and really read TCOYF...

Yup, hopefully you'll just go back to how you were before BC. I used to circle the first day of my period (pre-BC) on my calender, and when we decided to TTC and I went off the pill, I checked those old calenders to get an idea of how long my cycle would be. Looks like they were a hair longer then - but regular, every month. I am very thankful my body went right back to that.
You don't have to start temping with the first day of your period- I don't start until about CD5. It's personal preference, but with shorter cycles, you want to make sure you don't wait too long- FF needs a few temps prior to ovulation on pinpoint it accurately.
