Guys, I am so, so, SO tired. I almost fell asleep on my way to work. Max is not sleeping well which means no one in the house is sleeping well. It's also really annoying when you can't get back to sleep to look over at your husband and realize he's out already, 5 seconds after getting into bed. Grr.
My students have been begging me to start Macbeth, which we did today. Now that they've had a taste of Shakespearean language, they're begging me to stop and go back to grammar. LOL
Hopefully they'll learn to love it. My last class did and we had an awesome time putting on a performance.
Anything special going on this Monday for you all?
One of my work BFs got offered a different job and she is seriously considering it. She keeps asking my opinion and I want to tell her "Don't go!!" She even said that me having my baby is in the background of not leaving, so I don't want to make her feel any more guilty.

Hi there! For three months, I've been procrastinating going to the DMV to switch my driver's license. I think I'm finally going to do it this week. I'll be sad to turn in my old license because I really like the picture, haha.
Oh, and I'm ridiculously excited to watch the Bachelor tonight.

We had dinner with the ILs last night. MIL said something about a shower for me. H said that he would like to have a joint shower (his side and my side). MIL said she couldn't see how the could possibly work.
I told her last night that all I really want is for us to have one big cookout - invite H's friends/family, my friends/family, males, females, kids, etc. My parents are on board with this.
MIL hates the idea of sharing anything with my family. She doesn't think it is fair that she has to share her only grandchild when my parents have three. She really is just incredibly insufferable.
I wouldn't be so insistent on having only 1 shower, but she wanted to throw us a wedding shower. So she decided to host it at our house, without asking us, inviting over 60 people and doing it all 4 weeks before the wedding. I have no doubt that a baby shower would be just as much of a disaster, only I won't be able to drink alcohol.

Urbancowgirl, I'm so sad that we got rid of cable. I miss The Bachelor on Monday nights. I mean, I watch it later on, but it is such a great treat at the end of a long Monday.

I have been having horrible indigestion the past few days, it really needs to stop.
I am wearing maternity black dress pants today and I think they make my legs and butt look a lot thinner than my regular black dress pants. Seems weird.

Yes, totally! Mondays were awful at my old job (hours-long meetings, etc.). I used to tell DH that the Bachelor was the only thing getting me through the day. He was not amused.

LOL, my H hates The Bachelor. He can't be in the same room when I watch it, because he gets so ragey. It makes me laugh. I just love the angst that comes along with the "journey to find love."
Every time the baby pushes on my ribs, it feels like they are getting popped out of place for a few seconds. SO painful. Good thing I have, at most, a week left, which makes it a little bit easier.

DS developed a fever yesterday after we got home from a friends and we both slept like crap. He was up at 4 fussing so we curled up on the couch watching cartoons until he fell back asleep.
DH is on work day 8 of 13 so he's useless to help. Hoping DS feels better and I don't get whatever he has!

Aw, Sewf! I hope this week flies by for you. That baby will be out in no time!
I'm exhausted, and work is so hard for me now that I can't take anything for my ADHD. Now I'm all stressed that I'm going to get written up or fired before my due date . Anxiety, party of one.
We picked our our nursery furniture on Saturday. We will be getting it in the espresso color. I hope to order in the next month or so. www.babyappleseed.com/chelmsford-crib.htm
I spent yesterday collecting all my pee in a jug for the OB. lol. EXCELLENT WEEKEND!
Sounds fabulous...what was that for, exactly? LOL
tulips, love the furniture! Wish I was that on top of things. H and I had a discussion over moving stuff out of the second bedroom (his office right now) but then hit an impasse on where to put it. So we just got ice cream and watched Castle instead of figuring it out.
Betty, I hope you feel less stressed soon! I totally forgot I was starting Macbeth today with my class and was panicked all morning trying to pull my stuff together. It's been three years since I last taught it. Pregnancy-brain is no joke.
Also at dinner, my FIL said that July 10 is kind of rough as an EDD, because it is so hot in the summer, but at least it isn't the middle of August.
MIL said, "well, I had M (my husband) in October, so I had to go through all of the summer pregnant."
Being 6 months pregnant in July is a lot different than the poor women who are 9 months pregnant in August.
I have 2 July babies, and this one is due Aug. 5, so it's completely conceivable that it will be 3 July babies! I think summer babies are pretty fabulous, and I love having big birthday parties in our backyard.
Plus, with a July 10 due date, you might get a 4th of July baby, which I think would be one of the coolest birthdays ever. I mean, you'd always have fireworks on your birthday!

I slept for 16 hours yesterday. I have no idea why. I didn't realize I was that exhausted. DH woke me up to eat lunch and dinner, and I just kept going back to sleep.
I got a job offer today!! I am working as a pediatric nurse right now, night shift, and this new job is a day shift, no holidays, no weekends position. Not in peds, but you can't have everything, I guess.

My first trimester, I slept ALL the time. I was just so exhausted.

I mentioned this in my NT scan post, but the MFM place we had our screening at told me to have a full bladder for my appointment. No problem. I had a few big glasses of water and a can of diet pop before the appointment so I had to pee REAL bad by the time we got there. I spend 20 mins in the waiting room (b/c we got there early) suffering, get in the u/s room, and find out my bladder was TOO full because it had the kid all pushed over to the side. Then I got to pee...oh, sweet relief. But damn if I'd known that was going to happen I'd have gone to the bathroom beforehand!
Also, J would not let me get fro yo after lunch (it was a few doors down from the restaurant we ate at) because he had to get home to use the bathroom. Meanie.

Sally, congrats on the job offer! That does sound like a nice deal for a nursing position.
mswax, my birthday is early July, so I think it is a perfectly lovely time to have a birthday! I'm just not looking forward to waddling around on July 4, but I don't think there is an ideal time to be 9+ months pregnant.

Congrats! I assume you will be taking it?
I think so. I almost can't turn it down, the hours are so much better than what I'm working now. Plus I'll get to assist in surgeries, so it will be fun.
I have my a/s tomorrow and I'm kind of nervous. I'm sure everything will be fine, but still a little freaked out.
Gaining weight has been kind of hard. I struggled with it for a few years after college and finally lost 25 lbs three or four years ago. I haven't gained much yet, but it's hard to see the number on the scale go up even though I know it's necessary and good.
Good luck! I have my a/s tomorrow too! I'm freaking out!

Congrats Sally on the job offer!
I just discovered that the snack machine got changed out for a new one and now takes credit cards. This could be dangerous. I have been really good at staying away in part because I never have much cash on me.
Oh, and I had an excellent weekend with a dozen girlfriends in Seattle! Gap maternity denim was $35 instead of $70! And I got some great uv/summer stuff for G at Target for our Hawaii vacation.
I feel super rested. And it seems like G might be finally over his horrible teething and illness and is back to sleeping 7-7!
