I made an appt to see my ob-gyn tomorrow afternoon. I am at CD50 with no temperature shift this cycle, no signs of AF, lots of negative hpts, a dull throbbing ache on the left side down there for the past 2-3 weeks and lots of weird CM. According to dr. google, I either have a false negative (yay!) or a cyst (boo!).
I really doubt the false negative but I want to get checked out just in case. What kind of questions should I ask the doctor and what should I expect?
UPDATE: So it turns out that I have a bad yeast infection and no cysts or other abnormalities from the sonogram. The dr is still waiting on the results from the culture but my blood results show that my thryoid levels are way off. My last blood test was in early Oct. and since then, my tsh has gone from 6.5 to 11.5 (hypothyroid). I need to see an internist to get that regulated. I read online that hypothyroidism may affect fertility and result in miscarriage so I'm glad we found out now. I am also getting the pills to start AF. My dr says we can start to try again next cycle and it shouldn't be a big issue in ttc. Please keep your fx for me! Also, if anyone has any experiences with hypothroidism (and ttc) that they can share, I would really appreciate it.
I'm thinking to ask for a blood test first and then maybe an ultrasound before talking about jumpstarting my period. The ache is what is worrying me and my H the most. Sometimes it extends towards my left thigh and that is definitely not a normal pms cramp.
I went to CD 54 and had a cyst burst, starting my period. Hopefully your doctor is more proactive about it... Mine seems to think cysts are no biggie. Good luck!!

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. What happened after that, did you need some kind of treatment?
How long have you been charting? Do you have a history of long cycles?
When I went to the doctor for long cycles, I came armed with 6 months of charts printed out and my doctor loved it.
I have been off bcp since May and charting since late October, which is not even 2 full cycles. My cycles were about 35-40 (max) days before this month. Thanks for the reminder. I will print what I have out.
