According to an O calendar I should have O's last Thurs. or Fri. So H and I started having sex Sun. through Fri. missed Wed. During this time I was using OPK's starting Wed. and have not had a positive one yet. I am wondering if I maybe O'd earlier then I thought or that I am Oing later then I thought. If I haven't had O'd by tomorrow that would mean I would have a really short luteal phase. I did have EWCM Wed. and Thurs. last week and today again. I tested again today and nothing again. The last couple of months I have had positive OPK's just not so far this time. I know that the calendars aren't always accurate, but it usually gives me a good idea for when I should O. I don't temp, but think I might start to. Have any of you had this happen?

The length of your LP won't be shorter if you ovulate later- it stays pretty consistent month to month. You may just be ovulating later this month, or maybe you already did ovulate and you didn't catch your surge with the OPKs. How many times a day do you test?
The only way to really know when you ovulate is to temp. The prediction calenders do just that- predict based on average data. Even fertility friend only makes guesses based on the data you input and average data, until you have a couple of cycles recorded. Even then it is still a prediction- you may still ovulate earlier or later then predicted.

I have been testing twice a day. I just wonder if I H and I should do it again today because of the EWCM or wait and see if I get a positive OPK.

Oh and another thing. I think I am afraid to temp because it seems so confusing on FF. Did you guys figure out FF right away? or did it take a while to get used to charting?

I thought it was pretty easy. FF has tutorials that can help you. I have a lot of trouble sleeping when I temp - I wake up a lot through the night. But other than that, it's easy- get a BBT thermometer, one that has a memory feature is nice so that you can go back to sleep after temping, if you want to. Wake up about the same time every day (maybe set an alarm), after at least 3 hours of sleep, and temp. After you get up, record it in FF. Then you can also record any other important info- OPKs, symptoms, CM. FF does all the analyzing for you.
About the EWCM- you can get that at any point during your cycle. After a while you will start to see a pattern of what is normal for you.

Thanks for your help girls. I signed up last night and got overwhelmed with the charts and all that. I was just looking at it again and I am going to watch the video. I usually am up at different times and not a good sleeper ( up and down going to the bathroom, tossing and turning). I will have to set a timer I think. Thanks again, I appreciate it
I'm about a 1/4 through the book and I am shocked at how much I didn't know about my body an charting. (I skimmed through the lessons on FF, and was till confused)

I do have this book and it is helpful. It is crazy how easy you think ttc is until you are actually paying attention to it and trying. Thanks!
