So what do you think of the new boards?

It's definitely going to take some getting used to. I really hate that you can't tell from the main screen if there are new posts in a sub-forum (or at least I haven't figured out how to yet). And I miss the way it noted what the last replied to thread was on the front page; it was any easy way to see how old the last post is.

Oh, I'm sure I'm describing it horribly! But when you were on the main page of the forum, it used to list the subforums on the left, and on the right there was a link to whichever thread had the newest post in it, and I think it also noted when the last reply was posted.
I'll check out the bugs thread and see if either of these have been listed yet. Thanks, Rock.

Since I just joined last week, it'll probably be a lot easier for me to adjust. I like the new layout so far, but I was thrown off when I signed in. I thought I was in the wrong board a first, haha.

Was the thumbs up button to the right always there?

I used TinyPic on the Nest, too. Maybe it doesn't work on Macs. I right click a photo and nothing happens. I've always sucked at PIPs.

I uploaded what I wanted to tinypic and then just pasted that link in the avatar area.  That was the only way I could get it to work.

I'm sure most of us do, but at least here if there's something we don't like we know it'll be taken care of instead of completely ignored or made even worse!

I agree, they seem very receptive to our ideas.

Aside from the page loading errors, which seem to be universal on proboards, I'm a fan. I wish my other boards would change over!

I like the notification when you are quoted and I like that I don't have to hunt for the Boston board anymore! YAY!

Like: Direct link to Boston board on the left. 

Dislike: I had the same complaint as 5KC.  I liked scrolling down the home page to see when the last new post was in each forum (especially this one, since some days we can go hours and hours).  If it was mine I would save myself the page click.  Haha.  Also, I dislike the default alien avatars.  They are creeping me out.

Overall, I don't feel strongly about the change.  The worst part was that I forgot my login info for the email I used to sign up, so I had to go through and reset that.

rikki, PIP is just a copy & paste now! No more of this using img tags crap and posting a URL. Just right click and copy any pic online, then paste it here! This is similar to how it was on TN.

Really? Does that mean you can paste a photo from your computer? I never PIPed bc I didn't want to go thru the hassle of uploading and hosting it somewhere.  I have to say I did miss that feature from the nest.
