I just had my 2nd treatment last week and am already noticing a huge difference. My "package" is for 6 treatments and I am pretty confident all will be gone by #6.
Everyone is different, but I would like to warn you that you will most likely get regrowth in 2 to 3 years. I seriously considered doing laser at first and then zapping the rest with electrolysis, but I keep hearing time and again that laser is not permanent hair removal. As always YMMV, but something to consider.
It depends on the kind of laser for one thing. Alexandrite/YAG is supposed to be amongst the best, while IPL is amongs the worst, from what I was able to gather from my research. But there is a reason the FDA ordered that laser be called "permanent hair reduction" because the long term efficacy has not been proven. Everyone is of course different and has different results, but more often than not you get regrowth. Skin type and hair color play a huge factor as well. I researched this stuff heavily when I was looking into hair removal (for obvious reasons, my beard), and from what I've been able to gather, electrolysis is the only truely permanent hair removal. If you have to keep going back again and again with laser it might end up costing you a lot more in the long term. I'm still considering going with laser so I can atleast get temporary relief, but I know I will eventually have to go with electro if I want it to be permanent.
You only get scarring if the electrologist is using too high of a setting. They will usually give you a cream that they apply after treatments. If you wanted to go that route, I would suggest finding an experienced electrologist that specializes in that, and not one of those salons. Don't be afraid to ask questions and look around. You can also get burned and damage your skin with laser if they don't know what they're doing. They're supposed to do a test patch to see how you react to it before letting you get regular treatments. From the trans community I was a part of before, I never heard about anyone getting scarred when it was done properly. I'm not trying to push any one way on anyone, you have to decide what's best for you. I just want others to make an informed decision if I can help it.
I still need to sign up for groupon, I'm just lazy.
DO IT. The deals are amazing. I have it set up so that I can only order from my computer but I get a daily email of all the latest specials. That way I cannot go crazy and just order everything from my phone.....helps the checkbook that way.

I just did my third brazilian session last night and for the most part, the hair was non-existant before I went into the office.
I love love love IT!
Oh, and even if I have to get it done in a couple of years, it is still a lot cheaper and WAY Less painful than waxing. Not to mention, less maintenance than waxing.
