OK so remember about two months ago I started a weight loss plan? Those of you on my FB know I have been working my ass off. Normally I would never ever ever tell anyone what size jeans I wear but I am so excited I can't stand it. I started in a 16 (I think I may have said that in chat before), and I just put on a pair of 10s that I don't think I have worn in at least five, probably more, years. And they fit!!! None of the "well, I can technically get them on, but I am turning blue because I can't breathe" stuff. They fit!!
SCC: I am using MyFitnessPal app and tracking all my foods. And I joined a gym and go six days a week for an hour minimum. So I have been working my butt off for this and I am so happy! The scale number is kind of stuck but am losing inches.
Thats awesome. I was reading a thread on ML I think the other day where everyone was touting the greatness of the MFP app. I'm in a 16 now and just got cleared by the doctor to get back to the gym, so hopefully in time I'll be able to fit into a 10 as well.

That's because muscle weighs 2.5 times the amount of fat, so while the "scale" may not be doing much, your body is. Plus, muscle burns fat.
To me, its not about the number on the scale but how you feel - more energy, happier with your appearance, etc. that matters.
And ditto Geek. You're doing really well and the scale is just being an obtuse bitch that can't tell the difference between muscle weight and fat weight.
Awesome, SCC! Look me up, SN on there is same as the one on here! And LOL srs! Obtuse bitch. Love it, will start calling it that when I step on it. Haha

Never mind; I just saw this! I've started tracking food on fitday.com but need to get my butt to the gym!
