She's one of these "I have to be right/ I like to put people in their place" kind of people. I often roll my eyes at her many, many, many stories. Today, though, I had to LIVE through it.
We were at a conference. The session we were in ran from 9:45 - 11:30. The ONLY long session. All the other sessions are 45 minutes, so a few ended at 10:30. We see the overall schedule. A "refreshment break" runs 10:30-10:45. She says to me "That's bad planning. We're IN a session. How can we go?".
Um... 1- I really don't care. I can go for 3 hours w/o food. And 2- there are no session police. You want to leave your session to pee, get coffee, grab a muffin - guess what? You can. We're adults. No one is going to stop us.
We're looking for coffee, though. So we go to the "Welcome" table. The lady tells us where it is, and then my CW proceeds to get huffy and tells her about the scheduling "problem" and how refreshments are scheduled for when we're in a session.
OMG! Are you kidding me? I was already standing behind her, but I literally started to take a few steps away.
