post a pic of something currently growing in your yard/garden.
this is my invincible spirit hydrangea, 4th year I believe? The blooms are so pretty, I hate to cut some to bring inside but I want to enjoy them indoors too
Currently blooming? Well I only have a few since I grow a lot of plants for their foliage and I'm limited to mostly shade. I have some pictures form this weekend.
I have 3 peonies blooming right now. Dark maroon, hot pink, and this light pink one:
This is my first year with a blooming bush clematis.
It's very floppy but beautiful.
I also have this gilt edged toad lily blooming right now. You can see the slight yellow edge the leaves have.
I just planted that this year so it's a small plant.
I don't have pictures of the garden phlox or the mini balloon flower that are blooming right now as well.

This is before the new mulch so dont mind the gross looking stuff.
These are all new plants so they arent very big yet. If you look beyond the shed, you can see all the wonderful poison ivy we have growing up the electric pole.
This is an overview of part of our backyard. That's salvia growing in the planter box off the deck. And oregano in the pot that came back from last year's veggie garden.

The iris took off this year (gift from SMIL's house) but they all wilted. I haven't grown them before, but my guess is it's been too hot. My 2 favorite roses are going nuts right now though:
mrsreynolds4 - these roses are absolutely beautiful, what varieties are they?
They remind me so much of some at my grandmother's house...roses were her favorite
The yellow/pink one is a Chicago Peace Rose. I can't remember what the bright salmon colored one is - I need to take it to the rose expert at the local greenhouse.
Fence is a good place to put it! (Really my neighbors just attached a cow panel to their fence and let it go) I'm attempting to get one going around the mailbox. Anywhere vertical with adequate sun works here.
