So this girl in my (small) office has been out all week w/the flu. Today she comes in and she is CLEARLY still sick as a dog...coughing, sounds miserable, etc. Luckily everyone complained & they sent her home (thank god). It annoys me b/c she is known for calling out for being "sick" - I think one year she called out 15x for being "sick". So now that she is actually sick she has to come in & infect everyone?? I swear, if I get sick because of her, I am going to be super pissed
That sucks! I hope you don't get sick now because of her.
I hate when people come to work sick.
I also hate when people think I am sick and I am not. I cough a lot when people wear to much perfume or other strong scents in general and everyone always thinks I'm sick and gets mad at me for working sick! I have an allergy to strong scents and it makes my asthma flare up, and no people you can't catch my asthma!!!

That's how I think DH caught the flu and spread it to us. One of his coworkers would call off all of the time and is very close to getting fired, so he came in even though he had the flu.

They included a "don't come to work sick" message in our weekly campus-wide update email last week. I've heard some (mild) shaming of sick co-workers since then (luckily the one who sat near me was just in to get her laptop so she could WFH). We get sick days; I'm glad to see the culture in our office shifting from admiration of people who refuse to miss a day to one of self-preservation 'cause no one wants to flu. :-P
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

seriously. the head of my law firm actually bowed out of our belated firm x-mas party last night b/c he had a cold & didn't want to get anyone sick. i went to work after a stomach bug last year b/c i thought it was over, but it wasn't & yep i def. got a few more people sick...didn't feel good about it.
