H and I went shopping yesterday for his niece's 1st birthday. We got this super cute, pink sleeper thing with a sparkly batman logo on it. I think we are going to keep it for ourselves.
Ha, I have a blue and white polka dot dress that I bought for a friend's daughter years ago. I thought it was too cute, so I ended up keeping it for myself in case we have a daughter someday. That was five years ago. DH and I laugh that because that dress is hanging in our closet, we'll probably have all boys
DH bought a Winnie the Pooh bear with the same music box in it as my childhood teddy bear had. We've had it since before we were married and were undecided on kids.
Yeeahhh...I had a full bedding/decor set from pottery barn. I loved it & it was discontinued, so I snapped it up, like, 7 years ago. I finally sold it a couple years ago when we decided we're not having kids.
I also had some cute Oscar the Grouch New Balance toddler shoes (my H likes Oscar). We gave those to our youngest nephew.

For Christmas about 8 years ago I was buying my mom a new tote bag and found an awesome diaper bag on clearance. It's sitting in a box in the storage room.
I don't even look at baby stuff anymore. When I got pregnant we bought a few things that were on clearance or in season. I ended up having a miscarriage 2 weeks later and all of those things (a Target bag full) just float around the second bedroom.
I'm glad I'm not the only one!! We saw a really funny kids book a couple of months ago and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it for hypothetical future children.

I bought a kids board book when I was in France (when I was in college). Uhm, I had no boyfriend and definitely wasn't having kids any time soon. Too bad that now that I have kids, I don't know where the book is.
Someone returned some cloth diapers to my store today from online. They were marked down to 10 bucks from 40 original. I almost bought them. I probably would have if they weren't pink and we hadn't been trying for the last year and a half. We probably won't have kids for a while so I think it would just hurt to have them around.
DH is obsessed with planes. I got five baby outfits on clearance for $1 each about four years ago that say things like "Daddy's Co-Pilot" and "Wingman" on them. I also started stocking up on my favorite childhood books when I saw them at garage sales.
We have a car being shipped here. It should arrive in about a month. Neither of us has yet taken the test we need to pass to be able to drive in country here. There is a good transit system here, highly usable, and there are multiple bus stops within a handful of blocks from our apartment. We _should_ be able to survive with a single vehicle, and frankly, we can make due without any vehicles. Groceries are a pain in the ass, but otherwise, it's not that rough.
Yesterday, DH got a ride home from work with a coworker who has purchased a vehicle here. Now DH wants to buy a car here so that he doesn't have to wait until our car arrives next month to drive to/from work. It is totally _not_ MM, but I might be OK with this (it would be a cheap used car, and we'd pay cash from savings).
I might just suggest we rent a car until ours arrives, too.

I always have the urge to buy maternity clothes if they are a good deal (usually on super clearance at target or at thrift stores) even though I'm 25 and have no idea if I even want kids. I did buy a maternity dress one time, felt really foolish and then gave it to a pregnant aunt.
So... based on the fact that I'm not the only crazy person out there, I just ordered that book I mentioned on Amazon. I needed something to top up my purchase to get free shipping
In my defense, we really did buy the stuffed animal for a friend. Circumstances were just such that we couldn't give it to them. Now I'm keeping it because we can't find the same thing again, and it's super cute.
LOL. I don't know that I'd go as far as to say everyone is crazy, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who totally cannot identify with this idea
I do have a couple of Christmas books for hypothetical children, but I did NOT buy them myself. They were given as gifts to me and my sisters "for our kids someday". Which now that I think about it could be offensive to some, I guess.
