I'm finally up for a new phone and am ready to ditch my android. I'm wondering where the best place to buy one is though. Best Buy currently has it on sale for $149 it looks like. Apple has it for $199. Is there any reason to still go to Apple? I see people talking about going to Apple when they have a problem with their phone or it breaks. Can I still do that if I've bought it at Best Buy?
Also any advice on if should I be purchasing Apple Care? I've had a broken screen since October with my Android and it's really sucked but I don't know if I should be looking at Sprint's insurance or the apple Care.
You still get the same warranty and service from Apple no matter where you buy the phone. I would go to Best Buy and save $50.
I guess whether or not to get AppleCare depends on how hard you are on your phone. I have never gotten it but I treat my phone pretty gently, keep it in an Otterbox cover, keep it away from my toddler, etc. I have had 3 iPhones now and never would have had a need for it. But if you are harder on your phone it's probably worthwhile.

I didn't get AppleCare, and on Christmas Eve I shattered my screen. I definitely wish I had ponied up the cash when I purchased it for AppleCare. Of course, if I had bought it I probably never would have needed it.
I'm definitely in the minority, but I'll be going back to Android when this contract is up.
