If we're walking to the car, sometimes he'll open the door for me. But then again, he'd open the door for anyone. Same with regular doors. He always pumps the gas too. He also will scrape off my windows of my car before he leaves for work. I'm not high maintenance, he's just a good guy.
Now that I think about it, DH doesn't open the door for me to get out of the car, only to get in the car. The only time he's opened the door for me to get out of the car is if I were sick or hurt.
My H will open the car door for me sometimes, when we're getting in the car. He'll also drop me off/pick me up at the mall, grocery store, etc., particularly when it's raining/snowing. He pumps gas when we're out and about or fills up my tank.
Is that me being high maintenance or anti-feminist? Hardly.
It's neither of these things anymore than it is me being the little 1950s wifey when I bring him his dinner plate or something to drink.
It's called being married and these little things that some think are "weird" or "high maintenance" or "anti-feminist" or "annoying" or whatever label you want to try to pin on it are part of what make up that relationship. We do these things because we want to, not because we feel we have to. Simply put, he does those things, I do the things I do to show that we care about one another.
Lucy, I'm not sure I'd compare H occasionally opening a car door for me to carrying me around everywhere we go LOL. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

Regular doors, yes. I open our front door for him when he gets home after work (I'm home) so he doesn't have to find keys while carrying things. I have more control over the dog if I open the door vs him opening it.
He opens car doors to let me in. Has been opening them to let me out depending on how tired I am. He has been carrying my stuff to/from the car.
That had been reserved for fancy dates that required dresses and heels, I sometimes have issues with heels depending on the surface. This is more to save himself the trip to urgent care.
There's only one that I know of. Wally King's on State Street in the township.
SnowFest is this weekend and the Detroit Tigers caravan will be there!!! Yay!
I took off work on Friday just so I can go, haha. We do SnowFest every year, but now I'm extra excited for it!
I just saw the schedule. The caravan is Friday.
We always take our goddaughter, so we planned on going on Saturday because I don't think her mother will let us pull her out of school and I don't know if DH will be up to going two days in arow.

Not car doors. It wouldn't bug me if he did, but it certainly doesn't bother me that he doesn't.
He does sometimes open other doors for me, but I also do the same for him if I get there first. We're an equal opportunity couple.
I have a friend, though, who is a little obsessed with this. She sees door opening skills as one of the top qualities in a potential mate. She dates complete fucking douchebags pretty regularly and uses the fact that they open doors for her as a point in the "do not dump yet" column. I don't get it.
