To aide in constipation? Mine has kicked in finally, as of last week.
I am a vegetarian, so I have plenty of fiber already in my diet. I've eaten cut back dairy (except Greek yogurt) for good measure. I drink a lot of water...I've upped my fruit take for all of last week. Nuthin.
I'm trying the hot water and lemon thing in hopes that it will do all Dr. Google claims. fx
Curious if anyone tried this with success?? Or any other equally as natural remedy? I looking for like, a bm every other day at least people. Is that wishful thinking?? lol (sorry if TMI)
Dairy actually helps things move along for me, but I'm slightly lactose intolerant so it's always had the "liquidizing" effect on me (sorry, TMI).
I never heard about the hot water with lemon BUT, I've been having a lot of success with lemons for my vomiting. I suck on one just after I throw up once and it stops the cycle. Don't think you're at that point, but maybe it'll help with nausea!
I am 35 weeks and have consistently pooped daily, often twice a day, throughout the pregnancy. I think it's just the person. Diet only does so much.
Me too. Maybe it's a later pregnancy thing? I've been very regular now, where I wasn't as much before. I'm also taking a prenatal that has Colace in it, so that probably helps.
I am very regular. Only the fews days after I take a zofran (which I have stopped taking) are trouble for me. But since I stopped taking them, I am back to my regular schedule. I hope the constipation doesn't hit me!
Sorry you are all having trouble with this. I actually do love Grape Nuts flakes a lot though.
Hot water and lemon worked for me. Also eat some prunes. (I couldn't drink prune juice, it was just too gross) but eating a few prunes always helped too.

THANKS LADIES! I am surprised this got me; I've never had issues before pregnancy, and it wasn't more than two weeks ago that I was saying I had the opposite issue, like multiple times a day...
I didn't know how good I had it! And the nausea is in full swing during the night/morning, but no puking. Wheeeee!
I've been eating a lot of fruit, apples, oranges, and grapes all get me going. I've been pretty much daily, it's not always a good one but I've had...daily...output? I've also read that prenatals can be too high in iron and mess with your system, so you can try changing those too.
Did you try it, wine? How's the poop situation? LOL. But also tell me.
lol well...since you asked...
I had success yesterday! I tried the water and lemon, and it made me want to puke, but I figured it was worth the poopin at that point. (It had been like, more than 5 days)
It was...loose (gross gross I know) and it took a few visits to the toilet to feel like it was done, but at least I felt relief. I think just warm/hot water sans the lemon in the morning is supposed to help stimulate the bowels too, if the lemon makes you feel icky like me.
I have also continued to chug water and eat a shitton of fruit. I hope it all keeps things going. I'd rather go back to frequent bm/loose stuff that I had two weeks ago than nothing at all. That was like the longest week ever!
