I make an easy scrub with brown sugar, honey, and coconut oil. Just put equal parts honey and coconut oil together in a small bowl then add brown sugar until you like the consistency. It's a great scrub for dry lips, hands, body, etc. and smells delicious. I just have the giant tub from Costco.
I read that you can use it for many beauty things...
I am intrigued and I have dry skin so I want to maybe try it.
Yay or nay?
It also very healthy to eat. Helps digestion and all sorts of things. It's the new miracle oil. I've been cooking with it and using it on toast instead of butter (under my peanut butter)

YES!! And Umphreys during set break. I fucking LOVE technology!
We listened to Umphreys holloween on itunes during set brea..what a fun show. did you hear it?
No, but I'll have to check it out. I'm sure the Umphreys show (this weekend) was great, but the sound and video were just awful. I think we only watched a few minutes. Luckily Further had a short set break.
Hows the beer? Are you toasted? We haven't tried home brewing. Is it hard?

we have to wait 8-10 days for the beer to ferment. I hope it is good. so far the home brew was pretty easy........ I have had some wine so I have a nice buzz...............you? Do you work or stay home?

I forgot it was Sunday (I often lose track of the days) so I had to go to four liquor stores to find one open.
Im a lawyer. I used to have an awesome high powered job, but my boss wrongfully terminated me. I threatened to sue his ass and I won a fat settlement. Now I'm a kept woman/SAHM.
We owned a restaurant but closed it a few months ago and moved. i am currently looking for a new job. I hate this part. BOOOO
Job hunting SUCKS! Good luck. My underling (said affectionately) and I competed for the same job. She suffered the exact same fate as me six months later. I ran a project, and she was my right hand man (a very good one, actually). This new job was running the exact same project for a different institution. She was hired; I wasn't even interviewed. (I'm not bitter, honestly). Last time I saw her, she told me that the salary was less than she was expecting. I comfort myself by saying I was "way too expensive". Ben is in half day K, so I'm staying home until he starts full day. Then, I'll either find a job, or the business I'm working on will take off.
What kind of restaurant did you have? Did you cook at all?

We owned an Italian Restaurant with pizzas and pastas and the like.
Yes I cooked. It was a franchise so it was pretty easy..........I am getting back into high end restaurant management (that was my previous career in chicago)and I cannot wait.
I bet you love your freedom and your time with Ben. Do you want to practice law again or do something else?

I never practiced law in a traditional sense. I lobbied, was general counsel, and taught. I'd go back to any of those.
My New Years resolution is to "earn my keep" as a trophy wife. I'm trying to cook more and planning a garden. Look for future PMs askimg for cooking advice - lol!
Also, if I could open an In & Out franchise in CO, I'd do it on a heartbeat.
LOL, I was surprised we had 26 posts about coconut oil, so makes sense it got off topic. Anyway, I use it as eyemakeup remover. Its amazing. I also use it on my feet for moisturizer. I have yet to actually cook with it
I use coconut oil as a moisturizer after I shower, on my face at night, on my hands (with socks over them, for a few nights) when they start getting really dry, and as a nighttime deodorant. We also cook with it, and sometimes I put it in my morning smoothies/on my toast.
