Lots of times. I have been to the doctor. Generally it's because of low blood sugar in my case. I'm also sensitive to heat, which has caused me to faint in the past. What were you doing when you fainted?

yes, a few times.
twice i ended up in the emergency room. once because i had a blown pupil that resulted in fainting and the other because of low blood pressure.
the other time i just called my doctor about it.
it seems that i have low blood pressure and am subject to fainting because of it. my doctor isn't terribly concerned at this point, mainly because i am not consistently symptomatic.
if you're fainting, i think a call to your doctor is appropriate.

I fainted one in an anatomy class when we had to get blood typed. It was afternoon and I hadn't eaten anything that day so I blame that. It was just super embarrassing. We were already at the hospital (for class) but they didn't really do anything, just gave me some juice when I woke up.
When I was having DD, they gave me an epi. It worked too well, and my BP dropped to 70/50. I had ringing in my ears and just about passed out. It required 2 shots of epi in the IV and the anesthesiologist to sprint down the hall with a huge syringe to revive me. Fun times.

One time I stood up after taking a hit and the next thing I know I'm laying on the floor, soaking wet with people yelling my name. I had fainted and fallen forward into the coffee table. Broke it and spilled everyone's drinks on myself. For the next week or so I had a circular bruise about the size of a half-dollar on my chin that was very hard to explain.
Yes, a few times. Once during 10th grade biology class. Teacher was dissecting a frog and I just keeled over. I didn't even remember feeling dizzy. I also got lightheaded when we dissected fetal pigs, but knew what was coming so I stopped myself before it happened. I also fainted during a medical procedure once.
yes. i fainted for the first time ever in kenya visiting my ILs. i had never fainted before and it scared the crap out of H as we were in a very remote area. had something been seriously wrong i would have been screwed. it would have taken over 1 hour probably to get to anywhere with any medical attention, let alone a hospital. luckily it was just a random fainting, probably due to being on my period and having cramps and not eating much that morning and high altitude and heat.
I came close once, when I had to get shots (about a half dozen at once) and hadn't eaten any breakfast.
The room started closing in on me, and I felt like I could breath, so I leaned forward to put my head between my legs. The nurse (who had been chattering away with my mom), finally noticed I wasn't doing well and was suddenly very attentive.
Yes. Multiple times in high school. Never found a cause. The scariest time happened I was in my parents kitchen talking on the phone with a friend, told the friend to "hang on a second", set the phone on the counter, then passed out cold. I don't remember telling the friend this.
I bashed my face into the granite counter and then the tile floor. When I came to, my dad had rushed over and he said I didn't recognize him for almost five minutes. Eerie. I had bruises for weeks from the counter and tile, I looked like my face and neck got hit by a hammer.
Stopped happening after I turned 18, wish I knew what the cause was.
I came close one time. My friends and I went to a midnight showing of the first new Star Wars movie (the 4th episode is it then? Whatever. I don't even really like Star Wars!). It was super crowded in the theater and hot. And I was stoned off my gourd. I told my friend I needed to sit down and sat in the middle of the floor. She said I turned gray and my eyes weren't focusing on anything. I slept through most of the movie. And I did not consult my doctor about it, lol.
I faint often. Once in line to see a movie when I hadn't eaten breakfast. On my first day of high school because I was so nervous. When I had my wisdom teeth taken out. When I had the flu and was dehydrated. When I had my gallbladder taken out. I don't even call the doctor any more.
Yes, just after giving blood. I nearly gave the little old lady volunteer in the cafeteria a heart attack. I'm not sure if I fell out of my chair or not, but when I woke up they had me on the floor. Oops.
Yes, most recently when I was eight months pregnant. I fainted three times (!) at our last childbirth class. It was ridiculous. I got up, because I felt faint and left the room to go to the bathroom. Next thing I know, I'm waking up on the floor.
No one was around, so I got up, brushed myself off, got some water and went inside, where I fainted again. Rinse and repeat on our way out.
My OB said it had something to do with how the baby was sitting. I also had really low blood pressure during my pregnancy.
I did once. In the arms of one of my junior high teachers. I had started my period, which was a real heavy one (they were like that when I was a teen), plus I felt woozy. I approached my teacher and told him I didn't feel good, then PLOP. I'm sure it scared the shit out of him. I was able to get to my feet and he escorted me to the school nurse. I laid down for awhile. I can't recall if my parents were called--probably not. Eventually I went back to class.

Twice from low blood sugar. I didn't go to the doctors after I fainted. I had been diagnosed with hypoglycemia before that. I got food. Fainted a few times at the docs while getting shots or blood drawn. Because I'm a wuss.

Yes. Once after I got a tattoo and the other time when I was in the hospital visiting a friend. After my dad died, I don't deal well with hospitals and have anxiety attacks.
A few times. Usually because I stand up too fast. Once, when I passed out...I hit my head on the way down (on a dresser and then the baseboard heater...enough to dent it).
I passed out after having the girls, while in a wheelchair. Probably the same issue, plus magnesium sulfate, hot NICU, stress, blood loss, and just general wear and tear. There were some newbie people in the NICU when it happened and I awoke to a really, really nervous RN and Resident holding the paddles on a crash cart. I was all, "I'M ALIVE YOU IDIOTS!"

I faint every single time I get a shot or have blood drawn. Also, if I have gone a long time without eating I will faint. Its quite annoying. I have very low blood sugar and low blood pressure so that doesn't help things.

a couple of times. usually due to low blood pressure and/or blood sugar. once I did right after I got up from the couch and I came to on the floor in the kitchen. scared the shit out of me.
I have, twice while running. The second time I ended up in the ER and have since been having tests done to try to rule out a heart condition.
The alternative explanation would be vasovagal syncope, like vajeana posted. I already have low blood pressure, so when it drops it's more drastic than for someone whose blood pressure is normal or high. I get the dizziness and nausea and ringing in my ears and have to lie down until it passes.
Once, I went to the doctor with a sinus infection the day DH and I were looking at wedding venues. They said they could give me a shot to clear it up faster, I guess it was antibiotics? I cant remember, but I agreed to it. Then they said the shot had to go in my buttcheek. I had only ever had arm shots before but I went ahead. It hurt so mothereffing bad I just crumpled to the ground. I stood up, tried to leave the office and did it again. So is that 2 faintings then?

I almost always, without fail, throw up within 5 minutes of regaining conciousness.
Usually not a problem except for that time I passed out while being fitted for a bridesmaid dress, and then had to quickly get to a bathroom after coming to...with this dress on...all pinned up for alterations. Luckily the bride went with me and unzipped the back and held my hair while I harfed.
She was all pat-pat-patting me on the back and said, "You really are the most polite and quiet puker ever."
