I am taking a computer science class as an elective, and because I think it would be a good thing to learn (especially since I am going into library science, and that is more web based than ever).
Anyway-the class I am taking focuses on python 3. The professor gave us a code today, told us to write it out, run the module and make it work. I'm not certain if I was just over thinking the whole thing, but in class 2 of a 16 week class, I'm a little nervous.
I'm not sure what any part of your assignment even means.....good luck in there!
This reminds me of an accounting elective I took. It turned out to actually be an advanced computer science class. No mention of accounting was ever made even though I got accounting credit for it. My classmates were all seniors in computer science. My classmates and professor made all kinds of computer related jokes. I found a cute classmate to help me with everything. He was an Indian version of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. I might have had a crush on him....
Hang with it! It'll be worth it. I don't know python or I could try and help... are you running it on windows or linux?
windows. We are working in the mac lab, and I have honestly never used a mac, so I brought my laptop so I can learn in a practical environment.
And yes, this is the first computer science class I have taken. I'm working on a project at work, and it uses java code, so I was hoping to learn some basics that might transfer, but it looks like it's too different.
I'm excited to learn, but I just have to get over the "omg, I can't do this!!!" feeling.

Oh no!!
My professor has been making jokes about Big Bang Theory and Monty Python. I've never seen either. *-)
I took CS 101 during my 4th year of college. It's an intro class for CS majors - I was a history major. I thought for sure I was going to fail. It took me 10 times longer than anyone else to do the labs and 1/2 the time I didn't finish. At the end I suddenly got it and I got an A- in the class. I give my H a hard time still b/c I got a better grade than he did (he was a CS major).
