This time? 6 cycles. Before DD I had short LPs as well (almost a year's worth of charting) with 2 early miscarriages. But I didn't at least start spotting as early after O as I am now. I was put on progesterone immediately following my BFP with DD.
Can you go to the same OB and get put on the progesterone ASAP? Obviously you have a deficiency....
Yeah I agree. There are also some natural things you can do to increase your LP, B6 and some diet changes are what I've found. Google "increasing luteal phase naturally" and you should find some pretty good resources.
100mg of B6 for 4 months did nothing. Started a B vitamin complex last month and I thought it worked (LP was 2 days longer and spotting started at 9dpo instead of 7 or 8), but this cycle was right back to the way it was.
I didn't do enough research to see about diet changes so I will definitely look that up. Thanks!

I'm going to talk to my OB about starting progesterone as soon as I O rather than when I get a BFP (essentially since the latter isn't even proven to work). My OB is usually pretty great at just letting me do whatever I want so I'm hoping I can get a prescription for this cycle.
My LP was lengthened by 2 days when I started taking 4 Uni-Liver (2 servings) a day. Uniliver is basically dehydrated liver so you get all the vitamins and minerals (the b's included) in a much more palatable form.

Oh, didn't realize you'd tried B6 already. I hope your OB has some ideas/solutions for you! Good luck!
Thanks I'm going to look up the diet stuff tonight too. It can't hurt to try as much as possible.

Sorry I keep hijacking these LPD posts...I am obsessed!
I have been taking B6 (will likely switch to a complex next cycle if it doesn't work this time), but hadn't paid much attention to recommendations regarding diet. In reading an article just now, one of the potential causes is abnormally low cholesterol. I am not sure that mine is "abnormally low", but I have rather low bad cholesterol and rather high good cholesterol, which I mostly attribute to my pescetarian diet. I get a lot of the good fatty acids from fish and oils, and eat a lot of leafy greens. I do eat some full fat dairy, but generally stick with skim milk and part skim cheeses. When I eat eggs (one or twice a week), I usually eat one yolk and the rest are whites.
Anyone here a vegetarian/pescetarian and have issues with LPD? I am wondering if this is a significant factor in the issues I am having. I guess I don't have an problem adding more fat and cholesterol to my diet if that would help!
