Do you have an actual manifesto (as mentioned in the Walmart dress thread) written out? If so I would really love to see what is on your list of places to avoid, and if it's that deep, what the reasons are. I work in apparel (on the manufacturing and development side) so I'm already conscious of some of the many ills in the industry, but besides striving to buy more domestically made goods, I would like to educate myself on other companies and retailers I may be unintentionally feeding into when I purchase from them. If you can post or PM me, I am really interested.
As I mentioned before on here I will not shop at GAP and subsidiaries, AT/ATL, Forever 21... ummm, it's late and I can't remember all that I automatically avoid. The ones I listed are huge violators of human rights and have been repeatedly called out by various groups with little to no success in getting them to change their practices.
I'll admit its gotten to the point where I don't look anymore because I do have to clothe myself.
Thanks for posting the thread! I've been on board with F21 and Walmart boycotts for awhile, but I will look up info on AT/ATL. I only somewhat recently read stuff about GAP (and companies). Unfortunately there's a lot of shit out there going on and it's hard to keep on top of it all. It can be pretty depressing.
