I probably don't need to skip, but I want too. I am having a pretty bad sinus headache (I've had awful allergies for the last two weeks) and I'm debating whether or not to run this morning. Tuesday I had a bad run (I was no my period though...) and I'm super tired with the headache this morning but I've got a seven mile run scheduled for Saturday. Should I just suck it up and run? Or skip it?
I skip whenever I think my next run will be worse for having done the one I'm contemplating doing/skipping from a sick/tired/unwell feeling standpoint.

I skip when I have moderate to severe chest congestion or digestive issues, or dizziness from sinus pressure/headache. I actually usually feel better when I jog with a headache, but I'm already a complete klutz so when it's screwing with my balance I sideline myself!
I am skipping today because it hurts to do anything that involves movement of my foot/ankle. Other than that, I only skip if I am vomiting or legitimately cannot make a. myself move or b. my schedule work. (i.e. I have to be on a flight at 6a.m. and I am planning to run in the morning, and have meetings all day).

I bailed on spin class tonight after 10 minutes (which was mortifying, btw) because I felt a migraine coming on hard and I just couldn't power through. It was not cool.
I will skip workouts if I am really sick, feel that I am in serious danger of barfing or diarrhea, or have/getting a migraine.

I skipped it and I'm glad I did. My sinuses are shot... full of gunk and goo. I've had a raging headache all day despite using the neti pot and steaming the living daylights out of my nose... ick. I don't like skipping runs but I think if I had run today I would have gotten a mile or so and then turned around anyways. It was also raining cats and dogs so I'm glad I stayed in. Here's to hoping I will be feeling better on Saturday and Sunday and knock that 7 miles out of the park.
