I'm in charge of the Arts and Science Council campaign for my department with another person. We have a large department, about 175 employees. There are 8 teams/divisions within those 175 people.
The only idea we've really come up with so far is to do a little friendly competition based on a points system. It's a 4 week campaign. We're going to distribute the pledge cards on 2/1 and whoever gets their entire team's cards back to us (100% participation, not 100% donation rate) gets 10 points. The team with the highest dollar amount of donations will get 15 points. Beyond that, we'll be sending out trivia questions twice a week and the first 5 people to respond will get 2 points.
What other "point" activities can you think of? The winner will get either breakfast or lunch, depending on what the winning team decides.
Does it need to be a money activity?? You could do a canned food drive and the team that brings the most cans gets the most points or something. Then donate the goods to a local food bank.
Yes, unfortunately. We have a $5000 goal; unfortunately with it being right after the holidays, we will have a hard time reaching it even though we have a lot of people.
Could you do a card party or a raffle? People can bring in a little something to donate or offer some kind of service (baked goods, sports tickets, so-and-so will help you with your taxes or buy you lunch one day), and everyone buys tickets for the prize that they want.
