I have some vacation money burning a hole in my pocket. Has anyone booked a trip for spring? If you don't mind sharing. I'm hoping to sneak away soon for a long weekend. This cold is killing me.

I don't have any vacations planned, but a group of friends are going to Iceland for a week in March. I think the estimated cost is about $1500 per person.
I have no trips booked but if you give us an idea of what kind of trip you're looking for (general area, types of activities, amount of time, cost, etc.) then we might have suggestions.
I don't really have any specific destinations in mind. I was just wondering if anyone got any good deals out of Boston. I sometimes see these posts on other boards, but then I can't get the same prices because they are coming from other cities closer to the destination. I figure I could compare prices apples to apples with other people traveling from Boston.

I have always wanted to go to Iceland. That is a pretty reasonable price. However, if I go anywhere this spring, it will have to be warm.
We are going to Puerto Rico for 4 nights in April. RT airfare to San Juan was $500 each (direct). We're staying 1 night in Old San Juan ($125) before taking a puddle jumper to Culebra ($140 each RT) for 3 nights ($250). Food, drinks, and any activities will be on top of that. I booked piecemeal on my own.
I'll ditto Travelzoo, they have some great deals.
That sounds like a great trip. You'll have to give us a mini trip report when you get back. I went to Puerto Rico in 2007, but didn't get a chance to travel to either Culebra or Vieques. I hear they are both quite beautiful. I have them on my bucket list of places I'd like to travel.

I will let you know if I see any vacation deals because I do a lot of deal searchin' I triple the Travelzoo recommendation, they do a great Top 20 roundup every Wednesday, so keep at lookout for that. Cheap Caribbean offers a lot of good AI deals for cheap from time to time, especially in Spring & Fall, but a lot of time Travelzoo will have those deals on their radar.
We might try to sneak away to the Keys for a long weekend to stay with family, but we haven't booked anything yet.
The Boston Globe Travel Show is the second week of February at the Seaport WTC, so if you can wait until then to book something, you may be able to get a good deal or win something. It's 10 bucks to enter, but you can use promo code BOSPR13 for free tickets.
